The ‘Mystery of God is Finished Up’ During the Seventh Trumpet– the Climactic Point of the Great Controversy!

Before zeroing into seventh trumpet, we must bear in mind this bigger picture: the seven trumpets are mated with the prophecies of Daniel chapters 2 and 7. Uriah Smith says: “The blowing of the trumpets by the seven angels comes as a complement to the prophecy of Daniel 2 and 7, beginning with the breaking up of the old Roman Empire into its ten divisions. In the first 4 trumpets [which we covered in past issues], we have a description of the special events which marked Rome’s fall.”- Daniel and the Revelation, p. 475.

Historical Details of the Prophecies Presaging the Advent Movement

 QUOTABLE QUOTE

The true symbol of the United States of America is not the Bald Eagle—it’s the pendulum. And when it goes too far in one direction, it is going to swing back.”

No, the symbol of America is neither the Bald Eagle nor a pendulum! According to Bible prophecy America was designated only one symbol filled with profound meaning: “Another beast with lamb-like horns that will speak like a dragon.” See Revelation 13: 11, 12. The quote above is by Ruth Bader Ginsburg (RGB for short), the oldest (85 years old) the three current female Associate Justices of the Supreme Court, quoting her late husband and fellow lawyer, Marty Ginsberg: interview with NPR’s Nina Totenberg following screening of RBG’s own biopic, “On the Basis of Sex,” reported by Amy Zimmerman, Daily Beast, 12-18-18.

Tracing the Advent Movement from Its Embryonic Origins

Tracing the Advent Movement from Its Embryonic Origins

God still works in mysterious ways. This past Sunday evening, as I sat in front of my computer, my eyes wandered on its own towards a faded, soft-bound book squeezed between larger books arranged in my computer’s book shelf. (I am old school, preferring to read directly from the book itself where my fingers can feel its pages and hear the soft, rustling sound as I flip through them. Sorry. E-books deny me this satisfaction).

The Seven Thunders Paved Way for the Fulfillment of The Parable of The Ten Virgins

The Seven Thunders Paved Way for the Fulfillment of The Parable of The Ten Virgins

“While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept. And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet him. Then all those virgins arose, and trimmed their lamps.” Matthew 25: 5-7, K.J.V.

There are forty parables of Jesus on record. Undoubtedly more were unrecorded as suggested in this scripture:  “And with many such parables He spoke the word to them as they were able to bear it. But without a parable He did not speak to them. And when they were alone, He explainedall things to His disciples.”Mark 4: 33, 34, N.K.J.V.

Parables and prophecies share a common denominator: both employ symbols, metaphors, and numbers to teach salvation-vital lessons firstenfolded within. “In its time” (Eccl. 3: 1, 11) their meanings are unfolded to all truth seekers and both the keys and opportunity to unlock/unseal these prophecies/parables are given to each pertaining generation.

Second Half of the Seven Thunders: the Moral Fall of the Churches

This Thanksgiving, let’s thank God for religious liberty and helping us better understand what the “seven thunders” were–a delineation of clustered events and time prophecies that would be understood only after the events had accomplished their appointed work. These are:

The Fourth of the Seven Trumpets: What the ‘smiting of the third part of the sun, moon, and stars’ mean

Friday Morning Manna

The Fourth of the Seven Trumpets: What the ‘smiting of the third part of the sun, moon, and stars’ mean

And the fourth angel sounded, and the third part of the sun was smitten, and the third part of the moon, and the third part of the stars; so as the third part of them was darkened, and the day shone not for a third part of it, and the night likewise.” Revelation 8: 12, K.J.V.

“The sun, moon, and stars have been interpreted to represent the great luminaries of the Western Roman government—its emperors, senators, and consuls. With the extinction of Western Rome in A.D. 476, the last of the emperors ceased to reign. Later its senate and consulship came to an end.” Elucidating on the seven trumpets, specifically the fourth, Uriah Smith, in his book Daniel and the Revelation, quotes at least three historians–Gibbon, Keith, and Elliott, whose individual works share the same interpretation of the trumpets. End-Time Tower Builders and Idolaters

FRIDAY MORNING MANNA

End-Time Tower Builders and Idolaters

QUOTES FOR THE WEEK

“It is as easy to make an idol of false doctrines and theories as to fashion an idol of wood or stone.”

“The men of Babel had determined to establish a government that should be independent of God. . . . The monument to their pride became the memorial of their folly.”

— Both from the inspired pen of Ellen G. White

Every rationally-minded Christian already knows it by heart. Reminders not needed.

So think those who, in their hearts, say, “I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’

And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eight and is of the seven, and goeth to perdition. Revelation 17: 11, K.J.V.

FRIDAY MORNING MANNA

And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eight and is of the seven, and goeth to perdition. Revelation 17: 11, K.J.V.

That is, the “eighth beast” who “was,” and “is not”—is “of the seven beasts,” “and “goes into perdition.”

This last “beast” or “eight” beast is not another separate beast in the line of succession of the prophetic beast of sacred and world history. He is “of the seven” previous beasts, and, clearly, the final composite form of the outstanding characteristics of all the rest. This follows the given explanation of the leopard-like beast in the introduction of Revelation 13.
