THE LAW WRITTEN IN THE HEART BEFORE IT WAS WRITTEN ON STONE

May 28, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

THE LAW WRITTEN IN THE HEART BEFORE IT WAS WRITTEN ON STONE

Christ the Creator and Lawgiver wrote the law in the hearts and minds of Adam and Eve in their creation as the crowning act of His creative power.

“Adam and Eve, at their creation, had a knowledge of the law of God; they were acquainted with its claims upon them; its precepts were written upon their hearts.”

THE FIRST OF ALL COMMANDMENTS

May 13, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

THE FIRST OF ALL COMMANDMENTS

“Thou shall have no other gods before Me.” Exo. 20:2.

“Jehovah, the eternal, self-existent, uncreated One, Himself the Source and Sustainer of all, is alone entitled to supreme reverence and worship. Man is forbidden to give other object the FIRST place in his affections or in his service. Whatever we cherish that tends to LESSEN our love for God and INTERFERE with the service due Him, of that we do make a GOD.” E.G. White, Patriarchs & Prophets, p. 305.

“Since God has created man, in the nature of things the FIRST OF ALL RELATIONSHIPS is that to God: and the FIRST OF ALL DUTIES could be nothing but duty to God.”

SPIRITUAL PRIDE SAYS: ‘I HAVE NEED OF NOTHING’

May 7, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

SPIRITUAL PRIDE SAYS: ‘I HAVE NEED OF NOTHING’

As keepers of the commandments of God, we profess to be the people of God at the present time. And that is true. What is equally true is that our spiritual condition of lukewarmness distorts our spiritual vision so that we fail to see the importance, beauty, and power of the grace of true humility. We think we know and have everything.

But the True Witness has a very specific message and warning for us! When He says, “know ye not,” He reveals that this spiritual blindness is directly responsible for denying and depriving ourselves of the fullest blessings and benefits that true humility brings in its train!

FAITHFULLY ENDURE TO THE END

MID-WEEK MESSAGE FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

January 22 2020

FAITHFULLY ENDURE TO THE END.

“As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of the coming of the Son of man.” Matt. 24:27,28.

“He that endures to the end the same shall be saved.” Matt. 10:22.

“As Noah proclaimed his warning message, some listened, and worked with him in building the ark. But they did not endure. Evil influences prevailed. They turned away from the truth and became scoffers (2 Pet. 3:3).

Thus it shall be in the last days of this earth’s history. Those who today hear the message of truth, but do not believe, will fall amid the MORAL infidelity, even as in Noah’s day those who were not FIRMLY grounded failed to stand till the end of their probation.

STORE YOUR MINDS WITH THE TESTING TRUTHS: THE FINAL TEST OF FAITH IS COMING

January 15 2020

MID-WEEK MESSAGE CROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

STORE YOUR MINDS WITH THE TESTING TRUTHS: THE FINAL TEST OF FAITH IS COMING.

See Matt. 10:16-20 first. “The servants of Christ were to prepare no set speech to present when brought to the trial. Their preparation was to be made DAY BY DAY in treasuring up the precious truths of God’s Word, and through prayer strengthening their faith.

When they are brought into trial, the Holy Spirit would bring to remembrance the very truths that would be needed. A DAILY, earnest striving to know God, and Jesus Christ whom He has sent, would bring POWER and EFFICIENCY to the soul.

The Elijah-John the Baptist Message of the Advent Movement

The Elijah-John the Baptist Message of the Advent Movement

“Behold, I will send you Elijah the prophet before the great and dreadful day of the Lord.”Malachi 4: 5, K.J.V. (The last prophecy of the Old Testament)

To start this New Year 2019, let’s take a necessary stop as it were, as we travel the Advent Movement highway to take a much closer look at vital aspects of the appointed work and central message entrusted to the last-day Advent Movement.

First, in Christ’s time the disciples and the religious leaders and people alike were familiar with  Malachi’s stirring prophecy. So the disciples inquired, ‘Why then say the scribes that Elias must first come?” Christ replied, “Elias truly shall first come, and restore all things. But I say unto you, That Elias is come already.” After more explanations from Christ, “Then the disciples understood that He spake of unto them of John the Baptist.” Matt. 17: 10-18.

The tenth day of the seventh month: Sept. 23 or Oct. 22?

FRIDAY MORNING MANNA

The tenth day of the seventh month: Sept. 23 or Oct. 22?

QUOTE FOR THE WEEK

“Conditional prophecy is when the fulfillment is dependent on the compliance of those to whom the promise is made, with the conditions on which it is given.”

– Sylvester Bliss, “Commentary on the Apocalypse,” pp. 7.

WHEN is the Day of Atonement, commonly known as Yom Kippur?  It depends on what calendar one is following: the Rabbbinical Calendar which is based on the Oral Tradition or the Karaite Calendar which is based on the written text.

It is vital to remember that Jesus himself and all His disciples and apostles presented and defended the truth of the gospel based on “it is written,” not “spoken,” though they came by way of spoken voice of the invisible God or by the inspiration of the invisible Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Godhead.

The recent Bull of Indiction of the Extraordinary Jubilee of Mercy, Misericordiae Vultus, declared a Holy Year by Pope Francis will open December 8, 2015 on “the Solemnity of the Immaculate Conception” and concludes a year later “with the liturgical Solemnity of Christ the King on Nov, 20, 2016.” It says further, “On that dayas we seal the Holy Door, we shall be filled, above all, with a sense of gratitude and thanksgiving to the Most Holy Trinity for having granted us an extraordinary time of grace”. . . .“The granting of indulgences as a traditional theme of the Jubilee year is expressed in section No. 22.
