THE EPISTLE TO THE HEBREWS OF THE NEW TESTAMENT

July 28, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

THE EPISTLE TO THE HEBREWS OF THE NEW TESTAMENT

I am seizing this opportunity to focus on the book of Hebrews, so strangely ignored and neglected by mainstream Christianity. I am under solemn obligation to call the attention of the spiritual Hebrews to the “two-edged sword” messages given “whether they will hear or whether they will forbear!” It is my prayer and hope that you will “hear” and not “forbear.”
So away we go!  Hebrews 1:1-3, A.V.

“God, who at sundry times and in divers manners spake in time past unto the fathers by the prophets, hath in these last days spoken unto us by His Son, whom He hath appointed heir of all things, by whom also He made the WORLDS: who being the brightness of His [the Father’s] glory, and the EXPRESS image of His person, and upholding all things by the WORD of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down on the right hand of the Majesty on high.”

Heb. 1: 1-3.

GOD ENCOURAGES AND WARNS

July 5 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

GOD ENCOURAGES AND WARNS

“Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and show My people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.”

Isa. 58:1, Authorized Version.

Like the gospel-prophet, God’s last-day messenger wrote these admonitions to His people of the last days, the spiritual house of Jacob:

“Hypocrisy is peculiarly offensive to God. A large majority of men and women who profess the truth PREFER SMOOTH MESSAGES. They do not desire to have their sins and defects brought before them. They want ACCOMMODATING MINISTERS, who will not arouse conviction by speaking the truth. They choose men who will FLATTER them, and in their turn they FLATTER the minister who has chosen such a ‘good’ spirit, while they REVILE the faithful servant of God.

BEWARE OF OUR OLD SUPERSTITIONS & FEARS

June 5, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

BEWARE OF OUR OLD SUPERSTITIONS & FEARS

As the Israelites impatiently waited for Moses (reminding us of how impatiently the first king of Israel, Saul, waited for prophet Samuel, and committed his first apostasy), something happened that lead worst things:

“Feeling their HELPLESSNESS in the absence  of their leader, they RETURNED  to their OLD SUPERSTITIONS.

“The ‘mixed multitude’ had been the first to INDULGE murmurings and impatience, and they were the LEADERS in the APOSTASY that followed.

THE SABBATH POINTS TO NATURE AND NATURE POINTS TO THE CREATOR

June 1, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

THE SABBATH POINTS TO NATURE AND NATURE POINTS TO THE CREATOR

“All things were created by the Son of God. ‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God….All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.’ John 1:1-3,KJV.

“And since the Sabbath is a MEMORIAL of the work of creation, it is a TOKEN of the love and power of Christ.  The Sabbath calls our attention to nature, and brings us into communion with the Creator. In the song of the birds, the sighing of the trees, and the music of the sea, we may hear His VOICE who talked with Adam in Eden in the cool of the day.

“And as we behold His power in nature we find COMFORT, for the Word that created all things is that which SPEAKS LIFE to the soul. He ‘who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.’ 2 Cor. 4:6.

HOW THE SABBATH DAY IS HALLOWED

May 26, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

HOW THE SABBATH DAY IS HALLOWED

“IF you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, from doing your pleasure on My holy day [not holiday], and call the Sabbath a delight, the HOLY DAY of the Lord honorable, and shall honor Him, NOT DOING YOUR OWN WAYS, nor FINDING YOUR OWN PLEASURE, nor SPEAKING YOUR OWN WORDS, then you shall delight yourself in the Lord; and I will cause you to rise the high hills [places, KJV]  of the earth, and FEED you wither the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the Lord [of the Sabbath day] has spoken.” Isa. 58: 13,14, NKJV.

“God has given 6 days wherein to labor, and He REQUIRES that their own work be done in 6 working days. ACTS of necessity and mercy are permitted in the Sabbath, the sick and the suffering are at ALL TIMES to be cared for; but UNNECESSARY labor is to be strictly avoided. [Isa. 58:13 quoted].

CHRIST THE LAW-GIVER MAGNIFIES HIS LAW IN HIS GOSPEL

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

CHRIST THE LAW-GIVER MAGNIFIES HIS LAW IN HIS GOSPEL

“The Lord is well pleased for His righteousness’ sake; He will magnify His law and make it honorable.” Isa.42:21.

The gospel-prophet prophesied that central to Christ’s mission and work on earth as the Messiah, was to magnify His law that was transgressed by His backsliding people, trampled upon by apostates and corrupted by the wicked.

How did God give His law? Only after the grand and awful preparation for it, in silence.

What Have We Learned Thus Far from the Divine Teacher?

FRIDAY MORNING MANNA

What Have We Learned Thus Far from the Divine Teacher?

“God is to be exalted by His power; who teaches like Him? Job 36: 22, K.J.V.

Jesus, the great I AM, is “the Teacher sent from God’ (John 3: 2). He is the “Prophet” prophesied by Moses to come “from among His people.” Deut. 18: 15, 18. (See also Acts 3: 22; 7: 37). Christ began teaching and instructing from the very beginning.

Before incarnating 4,000 years after the fall in “the great mystery of godliness that God was manifest in the flesh” (2 Tim. 3: 16), partaking of the “flesh and blood”  human nature that had no preexistence in His existence as the great I AM, He was already the Teacher and Instructor of the His very first students, Adam and Eve, the father and mother of mankind.

Do We Really Know the Prophets/Prophecies that We Need to Know?

Friday Morning Manna                           January 25, 2019

Nathaniel Fajardo                                    email: [email protected]

Do We Really Know the Prophets/Prophecies that We Need to Know?

Knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretation, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. 2 Peter 1: 20, 21, N.K.J.V.

Verse 19 of these scriptures says: “We also have the prophetic word made more sure, which you do well to take heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the Morning Star rises in your hearts.”

How is the prophetic word made more sure? If we pay heed to—not just to any prophecies often introduced with curiosity-arousing “new” interpretations that ignore the “precept upon precept, line upon lite, here a little, there a little” test of Isaiah 28: 9,10, 13, but to thosemade more sure, i.e.,  secured and vetted by the sheer preponderance and weight of the combined, exhaustive, harmonious continuum of the corroborating prophetic testimonies of God’s Old and New Testament prophets/messengers.  All their prophecies and messages were, in fact, testimonies pointing to the Prophet to come, the Messiah, “the Holy One and the Just.” to come, Jesus Christ the Righteous.
