BEAUTIFUL FEET SHOD WITH GOSPEL OF PEACE

September 17, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

BEAUTIFUL FEET SHOD WITH GOSPEL OF PEACE

“And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace.”

Eph. 6:15, KJV.

Paul  wrote further: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace, who bring good tidings of things!” Rom. 10: 15, NKJV (See verses 14-16).

“We are living in the midst of an ‘epidemic of crime,’ at which thoughtful, God-fearing men everywhere stand aghast. Everyday brings its heart-sickening record of violence and lawlessness, of indifference to human suffering, of brutal, fiendish destruction of human life. Everyday testifies to the increase of insanity, murder, and suicide. Who can doubt that Satanic agencies are at work among men with increasing activity to distract and corrupt the mind, and defile and destroy the body?

THE SABBATH POINTS TO NATURE AND NATURE POINTS TO THE CREATOR

June 1, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

THE SABBATH POINTS TO NATURE AND NATURE POINTS TO THE CREATOR

“All things were created by the Son of God. ‘In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God….All things were made by Him; and without Him was not any thing made that was made.’ John 1:1-3,KJV.

“And since the Sabbath is a MEMORIAL of the work of creation, it is a TOKEN of the love and power of Christ.  The Sabbath calls our attention to nature, and brings us into communion with the Creator. In the song of the birds, the sighing of the trees, and the music of the sea, we may hear His VOICE who talked with Adam in Eden in the cool of the day.

“And as we behold His power in nature we find COMFORT, for the Word that created all things is that which SPEAKS LIFE to the soul. He ‘who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.’ 2 Cor. 4:6.

HIGHER EDUCATION? STUDY CHRIST’S PARABLES

February 10 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

HIGHER EDUCATION? STUDY CHRIST’S PARABLES.

“All these things Jesus spoke to the multitude in parables; and without a parable He did not speak to them, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet [Isaiah].”

Matt. 13: 34, 35 (read the rest). “In the Savior’s parable teaching is an indication of what constitutes “higher learning.’ Christ might have opened to men the deepest truths of science. He might have unlocked mysteries which have required many centuries of toil and study to penetrate. He might have made suggestions in scientific lines that would have afforded food for thought and stimulus for invention to the close of time.

But He did not do this. He said nothing to gratify curiosity, or to satisfy man’s ambition by opening doors to worldly greatness. In all His teaching, Christ brought the mind of man in contact with the Infinite Mind. He did not direct the people to study men’s theories about God, His Word, or His works.

He taught them to behold Him as manifested in His works, in His Word, and by His providences. Christ did not deal with abstract theories, but in that which is essential to the development of character, that which will enlarge men’s capacity for knowing God, and increase his efficiency to do good.

He spoke to men of those truths that relate to the conduct of life, and that take hold upon eternity.” COL 22, 23. There are 40 parables of Christ recorded in the NT. Don’t you think they’re priceless compared to all the politics, entertainment and unnecessary “cares of this life”?! If you do let’s find whatever time is left to study these “higher education” subjects! NMF

HOW PILGRIMS PLAN FOR THE FUTURE

January 13 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

HOW PILGRIMS PLAN FOR THE FUTURE.

“By faith Abraham when he was called to go out to a place which he should afterward receive as an inheritance, went out not knowing where he was going.” Heb. 11:8.

“Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims. abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles (unbelievers) that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.” 1 Pet. 2:11,12 NKJV.

— “Many are unable to make definite plans for the future. Their life is unsettled. They cannot discern the outcome of affairs, and this often fills them with anxiety and unrest. Let us remember that the life of God’s children in this world is a pilgrim life.

Thyatira: Only One of the Seven Containing Recognition of Improvement

FRIDAY MORNING MANNA

Biblical Numerology: NUMBER SEVEN – Part 20

Thyatira:  Only One of the Seven Containing Recognition of Improvement

I know thy works, and charity, and service, and faith, and thy patience, and thy works: and the last to be more than the first. Rev.2: 19, K.J.V.

“As applied to Christian history, the message[s] to Thyatira [Rev. 2: 18-29] is particularly appropriate to experience of the church during the Dark Ages,” 538-1798 A.D. “The Dark Ages proved to be a time of surpassing difficulty for those who truly loved and served God” [as it will be in the closing, rapid final events of earth’s probation just ahead of our final generation], “and the Thyatira period may well be called the Age of Adversity. Because of persecution the flame of truth flickered and nearly went out” [had not God shortened the Dark Ages with the rise of the Protestant Reformation led by Martin Luther in Germany about a quarter of century before 1798. Matt. 24: 21, 22.

Is justification by faith the third angel’s message in verity?

Reading Time : 8 mins

FRIDAY MORNING MANNA

Biblical Numerology: NUMBER THREE- Part XXXIII

Is justification by faith the third angel’s message in verity?

YES, verity meaning “that which is true; a truth; a reality.” Remember what God’s messengers taught and wrote about Biblical justification? Paul declared: “We are justified by faith” (Rom. 3: 28; 5:1; Gal. 2: 16), “by His blood” (Rom. 5: 9) and “by His grace” (Rom. 3: 24); but we are “saved by His life” (Rom. 5: 9). All true believers will “be justified by faith and judged by their works.”(4T 386). “For not the hearers of the law are just in the sight of God, but the doers of the law will be justified.” Rom. 2: 13.
