PRESUMPTUOUS MISHANDLING OF GOD’S WORD PREPARES FOR SPIRITUALISM

July 22, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

PRESUMPTUOUS MISHANDLING OF GOD’S WORD PREPARES FOR SPIRITUALISM

“Bind up the testimony, seal the law among My disciples. . . . And when they say to you, Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter, should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead in behalf of the living? To the law and testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light (of truth) in them.”

Isa. 8:18,19,20, NKJV.

“In the days of Christ the leaders and teachers of Israel [the Jewish nation] were powerless to resist the work of Satan. They were neglecting the ONLY means by which they could have withstood EVIL SPIRITS. It was by the Word of God that Christ overcame the wicked one.”

“The leaders of Israel professed to be the expositors of God’s Word BUT they had studied it only to SUSTAIN their traditions, and enforce their man-made observances. By their interpretations they made it express sentiments that God has NEVER given.”

TASTE TEST TO TRUST

May 8, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

TASTE TEST TO TRUST

“O taste and see that the Lord is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in Him.” Ps.34:8.

As they say, “the proof of the pie is in eating.” So with the Bible truth. “The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul… SWEETER than the honey and the honeycomb,”wrote the psalmist.

“How shall we know for ourselves God’s goodness and His love? The psalmist tells us—not, hear and know, read and know; but—‘TASTE and see that the Lord is good.’ Instead of relying upon the word of another, taste for yourself.”

Unchain Your Heart from Worry and Fear

“For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and a sound mind” (1 Tim. 1: 7).

People are Afraid’: Sen. Kamala Harris on What the Government Should Do About the Coronavirus & Life in one of the Epicenters.”: Sean Neuman, People, March 23, 2020.

Dear fellow Bible-believing Christians. Be honest. Are you worried and fearful because of this mysterious sudden emergence as if from nowhere (the blame-game is on) of this novel (new) corona virus that rapidly evolved into a global pandemic overnight, as it were like no other known previous to it—catching all flat-footed, instantly revealing how proud and self-confident finite mortals are and yet how shamefully and clumsily unprepared they are to deal with the bigger and greater catastrophes, calamities and conflicts that will be played out in the biggest stage and theater of the world.

THE FUNDAMENTALS OF RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

February 17 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

THE FUNDAMENTALS OF RELIGIOUS LIBERTY.

Based on the Bible and the First Amendment of Bill of Rights of the U.S. Constitution: “RELIGION is ‘the duty we owe to our Creator, and the manner of discharging it.’ LIBERTY is ‘the state of being exempt from the domination of others, or from restricting circumstances.

In ethics and philosophy, the power in any rational agent to make his choices and decide his conduct for himself, spontaneously and voluntarily, in accordance with reasons or motives.’ RELIGIOUS LIBERTY, therefore, is man’s exemption from the domination of others, or from restricting circumstances: man’s freedom to make his choices and decide his conduct for himself, spontaneously and voluntarily: in his duty to his Creator, and in the manner of discharging that duty.’ Since God created man, in the nature of things the first of all relationships is that to God; and the first of all duties could be nothing but duty to God.” A.T. Jones, “Individuality in Religion,” Introduction, 5,6.

Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

August 19, 2019

QUOTE FOR THE WEEK FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

“Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.” Ps. 141: 3.

“In the use of language there is perhaps no error that we pass over lightly than hasty, impatient speech. But God’s Word does not treat it lightly. The largest share of life’s annoyances, its heartaches, it’s irritations, is due to uncontrolled temper.

In one moment, by hasty, passionate, careless words, may be wrought evil that’s whole lifetime’s repentance cannot undo. Oh, the hearts that are broken, the friends estranged, the lives wrecked, by the harsh, hasty words of those who might have brought help and healing.

Prophecies Regarding Current and Still-Breaking News

FRIDAY MORNING MANNA

Prophecies Regarding Current and Still-Breaking News

QUOTE OF THE WEEK

“A classic motif of comedy is the small lies that require bigger lies to maintain the deceit, until the whole fraud collapses with the deceivers exposed.”

— Nick Newman, Yahoo Finance, July 20, 2018

Before we dive back to the latter part of our mini-series on the “death and resurrection” of the “Two Prophets/Witnesses” and the “beast that ascends from the bottomless pit” of Revelation chapter 11, we need to be periodically reminded—
