THE SECRET OF UNANSWERED PRAYER

April 20, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

THE SECRET OF UNANSWERED PRAYER

“Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matt. 26:41, KJV.

Yes, you read it right. As there is a secret and a divine science to answered prayer, there is also a secret for the exact opposite!

But who in the world of praying Christians would ever want to know this “secret” at all? It is so counterintuitive you may say.  But of course.

ONLY SAFETY: LIVE LIKE A WATCHMAN!

Feb 26 2020
MID-WEEK MESSAGE FROM YOUR UNCLE NAT’S DESK:

ONLY SAFETY: LIVE LIKE A WATCHMAN!

“Praying and watching there unto are necessary for advancement in the divine life. Your only safety is to live like a watchman. Watch and pray always. Oh, what a preventive against yielding to temptation and falling into the snares of the world! WHAT TO WATCH OUT FOR: Mark 13:33. First you are to watch. WATCH lest you speak hastily, fretfully and impatiently.

Everything In The World Is In Agitation

October 21, 2019

QUOTE FOR THE WEEK FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

“Everything in the world is in agitation. The signs of the times are ominous. The Holy Spirit is gradually yet progressively withdrawing from the earth, and calamity follows calamity by sea and by land. There are tempests, earthquakes, fires, floods, murders of every grade. Who can read the future? Where is security?

There is assurance in nothing that is human or earthly. Rapidly are men ranging themselves under the banner they have chosen. Restlessly are they waiting and watching the movement of their leaders.

Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.

August 19, 2019

QUOTE FOR THE WEEK FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

“Set a watch, O Lord, before my mouth; keep the door of my lips.” Ps. 141: 3.

“In the use of language there is perhaps no error that we pass over lightly than hasty, impatient speech. But God’s Word does not treat it lightly. The largest share of life’s annoyances, its heartaches, it’s irritations, is due to uncontrolled temper.

In one moment, by hasty, passionate, careless words, may be wrought evil that’s whole lifetime’s repentance cannot undo. Oh, the hearts that are broken, the friends estranged, the lives wrecked, by the harsh, hasty words of those who might have brought help and healing.
