EGYPT’S HATRED TOWARDS THE SABBATH

June 2, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

EGYPT’S HATRED TOWARDS THE SABBATH See Exodus 5: 4-14.

Long before the Ten Commandments were written on two tables of stone by the Creator’s own finger and given to Moses atop Mt. Sinai, the Sabbath day observance and worship was already a point controversy even while Israel was still slaves in Egypt— the first atheistic empire!

Moses and Aaron tried to teach the Israelites to observe the Sabbath day in Egypt. But resting on the Sabbath angered the pharaoh and he issued a DECREE that made Sabbath-keeping impossible in Egypt.

FIFTH COMMANDMENT: FIRST COMMANDMENT WITH A PROMISE

May 29, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

FIFTH COMMANDMENT: FIRST COMMANDMENT WITH A PROMISE.

“Honor thy father and thy mother that thy days may be long upon the land which the Lord thy God giveth thee.” Exp.20: 12, KJV.

“Parents are entailed to a degree of love and respect which is due to no other person. God Himself, who has placed upon them [parents] for the souls [their children] committed to their charge, has ordained that during the EARLIER years of life, parents should STAND IN THE PLACE OF GOD to their children.

CLAIMING THE MERITS OF CHRIST’S CLOSING WORK OF ATONEMENT

May 5, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

CLAIMING THE MERITS OF CHRIST’S CLOSING WORK OF ATONEMENT

Mainstream Christianity clings to the mistaken idea that Christ’s work for the redemption of sinners ended at the cross. When Jesus said, “It is finished” as He was expiring, it was the sacrifice of His life and and shedding of His blood that was “finished” as the “Lamb of God that takes away the sins of the world.”

He then resurrected after His death to become our merciful High Priest, pleading His own blood in behalf of all penitent sinners who are repenting and confessing their sins. This is how the repentant sinner is justified by the blood of Christ, never by his “works!!”

The Humanity That Will Forever Share with Divinity the Throne of the Universe

“Therefore, brethren, having boldness to enter the Holiest [most holy of the heavenly sanctuary] by the blood of Jesus, by a new and living way which He consecrated for us, through the veil, that is, His flesh.”

Heb. 10: 19, 20, N.K.J.V.

From Desire of Ages, pp. 23, 24:

“Nearly two thousand years ago, a voice of mysterious import was heard in heaven, from the throne of God, ‘Lo, I come.’ ‘Sacrifice and offering Thou wouldest not, but a body hast Thou prepared Me.  . . .  Lo, I come (in the volume of the Book it is written of Me,) to do Thy will, O God.’ Heb. 10: 5-7. In these words is announced the fulfillment of the purpose that had been hidden from eternal ages.

The ‘Woe’ Side of the Seventh Trumpet

Friday Morning Manna                  February 15, 2019

Quotable Quote

“The Word is a power, a sword, in the hands of the human agent, but the Holy Spirit, in its vital power, is the efficiency to impress the mind.”

 E.G. White, Sons & Daughters, p. 30.

The ‘Woe’ Side of the Seventh Trumpet

If you have been lackadaisically lumbering along on the treadmill of prophetic mediocrity, self-assured, Laodicean-like, that you are already settled and nestled in a safe space, just awaiting the amazing that will happen when Christ returns “any minute now,” please be warned: Though appearing to be a good read from many a religious literature, and easy listening sounds emanating from many pulpits in Christendom, this, in fact, is anything but the sure thing.

Why Choose to be a Foolish, not a Wise Virgin? – Part 3

QUOTE OF THE WEEK:

A man is too apt to forget that in this world

he cannot have everything. A choice is all that is left him.

H. Matthews, Diary of an Invalid

______

Thus says the Lord: Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches; but let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord, exercising loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight, says the Lord.  Jeremiah 9: 23, 24, N.K.J.V.

“This is the most precious reproof and encouragement, the most important lesson for every soul that is trying to serve God

The Third Angel Points to the Sanctuary Above Where Christ Is

Five years ago, April 15 was also a Friday. Today’s focus for your Berean-like verification (Acts 17:11) is mostly a rerun of the 2011 FMM with a title relevant to this current series. It is an urgent reminder and a refresher.  The remnant church of prophecy is also the people of the sanctuary.

Every member and all truth-seekers should become conversant with the enlightening and edifying sanctuary doctrine for

The Third Angel’s Message and His Work

FRIDAY MORNING MANNA

Biblical Numerology: NUMBER THREE- Part XXXII

The Third Angel’s Message and His Work

Today is April Fools’ Day. Wikipedia says some precursors of this “day of fools” include the Roman Festival of Hilaria, the Holi festival of India, and the Medieval Feast of Fools.

But fools and their follies date back much further but much more so in the future. See 2 Samuel chapter 26. When David for the second time spared the life of his insanely jealous and murderous father-in-law, Saul, the first king by popular choice of Israel, obtained by their persistent clamor to God to have a king rule over them like the heathen nations surrounding them,
