WE DESPERATELY NEED GENUINE GRACE IN THIS COVID-19 MOMENTOUS MOMENT

May 3, 2020
FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

WE DESPERATELY NEED GENUINE GRACE IN THIS COVID-19 MOMENTOUS MOMENT

Good first working day morning of this week! Time to roll-up the sleeves of our mind. Check its spiritual oil dipstick first and see to makes sure you have enough oil of the Holy Spirit before starting its engines! Failure to do this has wrecked too many “brand new” Christian “character” cars. It lacks the “lubricating” power and properties of the Holy Spirit!

Let’s prayerfully and humbly turn to Jesus, the light, life, peace, wisdom and healer of our souls as He reveals Himself in the Written Word and ask Him what GRACE IS FOR.

QUOTE OF THE WEEK:

A man without knowledge, and I have read,

May well be compared to one that is dead.

THOMAS INGELEND, The Disobedient Child

From Christ’s Object Lessons by Ellen G. White, pp. 405, 406, 408, 409, 411, 412, 413, 414, based on Christ’s Parable of the Ten Virgins, Matthew 25: 1-14:

As Christ with His disciples is seated upon the Mount Olives, the sun had set behind the mountains, and the heavens were curtained with the shades of evening . . .  In many parts of the East, then and even now, wedding festivities are held in the evening. . . . In the scene upon which Christ and His disciples are gazing at, with the young evening as a  beautiful backdrop, they see a company awaiting the appearance of a bridal party, intending to join the procession.

Why Choose to be a Foolish, not a Wise Virgin? – Part 3

FRIDAY MORNING MANNA

Biblical Numerology: NUMBER FIVE Part III

Why Choose to be a Foolish, not a Wise Virgin? – Part 3

QUOTE OF THE WEEK:

A man is too apt to forget that in this world

he cannot have everything. A choice is all that is left him.

H. Matthews, Diary of an Invalid

______

Thus says the Lord: Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, let not the mighty man glory in his might, nor let the rich man glory in his riches; but let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord, exercising loving kindness, judgment, and righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight, says the Lord.  Jeremiah 9: 23, 24, N.K.J.V.

“This is the most precious reproof and encouragement, the most important lesson for every soul that is trying to serve God

 FRIDAY MORNING MANNA

Biblical Numerology: NUMBER FIVE Part II

Five are Foolish, Five Wise of the Ten Virgins – Part 2

QUOTE OF THE WEEK:

And he is oft the wisest man,

Who is not wise at all.

William Wordsworth, The Oak and the Broom

————

Then shall the kingdom of heaven be likened unto ten virgins, which took their lamps, and went forth to meet the bridegroom.  And five of them were wise, and five were foolish. They that were foolish took their lamps, and took no oil with them: but the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps.. While the bridegroom tarried, they all slumbered and slept.  And at midnight there was a cry made, Behold, the bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet himSee Matthew 25: 1-13.

   “Many shall be purified, made white, and refined, but the wicked shall do wickedly;
