FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:
HOW TO PRAY
“Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the [Holy] Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints.” Eph. 6:18, KJV.
Absolutely no alleged or imagined restricting circumstances, inappropriate occasion or place, intolerant person, or religious liberty suppressing religious or civil authority, can disable you from praying. They can, and will take away the inalienable right to “assemble for worship,” including who to pray to as in the days of Daniel and his three young friends but the prayer channel is open 24/7. Here’s why:
“There is no time or place in which it is inappropriate to offer up a petition to God. In the CROWDS of the street, in the MIDST OF BUSINESS ENGAGEMENT, we may send up a petition to God, and plead for divine guidance, as did Nehemiah when he made his request before King Artaxerxes.” SC 103.
“We may speak with Jesus as we WALK BY THE WAY, and He says, I am at thy right hand. We may commune with God IN OUR HEARTS; we may walk IN COMPANIONSHIP with Christ [through the Holy Spirit in the word]. When engaged in our DAILY LABOR, we may BREATHE OUT OUR HEART’S DESIRE, INAUDIBLE TO ANY HUMAN EAR; but that word cannot die away into silence, nor can it be lost. Nothing can DROWN the soul’s desire. It RISES ABOVE the din of the street, above the noise of machinery. It is GOD [not man] to whom we are SPEAKING, and our prayer is HEARD..” GW 258.
“It is NOT ALWAYS necessary to bow on your knees in order to pray. CULTIVATE the habit of TALKING with the Savior when you are ALONE, when you are WALKING, and when you are BUSY with your daily labor.” MH 510, 511. (NL 122).
For any Christian to claim or complain that they are just too busy to have the time to pray, reveals a sad and fearful ignorance of what Biblical prayer means, and must have been relying on tradition, the way of the world, the sayings of men, and false doctrines. Help them by first helping yourself understand this matter clearly and put it to work for you.
Bless all, NMF

THE FUNCTION OF GRACE IN THE LAW THAT GOVERNS HIS KINGDOM
“Receive, I pray thee, the Law of His mouth, and lay up His words in thine heart.”
Job 22:22, A.V.
“Everything in nature, from the mote in the sunbeam, to the worlds in high, is under law. And upon obedience to these laws the order and harmony the natural world depend.
“So there are great principles of righteousness to control the life of INTELLIGENT beings, upon CONFORMITY to these principles the WELL-BEING of the universe depends.

Elisha’s Three Successive Different Prayers of Faith
(Based on: 2 Kings 6: 8-33; as told in Prophets and Kings, ch.21)
Before Elijah, only the second man after Enoch (the seventh of the godly patriarchs from Adam), was translated, God hand-picked Elisha to succeed, continue and expand on Elijah’s prophetic and reformation ministry. Elisha’s father was an affluent yet God-fearing farmer whose household were among “the seven thousand who had not bowed the knee to Baal during the time of well-nigh universal apostasy of Israel during the reign of king Ahab and queen Jezebel, his wicked and cruel heathen wife. See 1 Kings 19: 1-10, 11-20.
To underscore our focus today on faith versus fear, we cite the examples of two faith giants, Moses and Elijah, compared and contrasted to Christ’s temptations, who at their weakest moments, which were few were few and far in between yet momentous, allowed their faith to be temporarily overcome by fear. They yielded to the temptation to fear. Anytime and every time we yield t0 any temptation we sin against God. The following is quoted from Prophets and Kings:
THE SECRET OF UNANSWERED PRAYER

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:
THE SECRET OF UNANSWERED PRAYER
“Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.” Matt. 26:41, KJV.
Yes, you read it right. As there is a secret and a divine science to answered prayer, there is also a secret for the exact opposite!
But who in the world of praying Christians would ever want to know this “secret” at all? It is so counterintuitive you may say. But of course.
NEW GLORIES FROM GOD’S WORD DAILY

NEW GLORIES FROM GOD’S WORD DAILY.
“Let us know. Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning. He will come to us like the rain, like latter and former rain to the earth.” Hosea 6:2, NKJV.
— “In the Scriptures thousands of gems of truth lie hidden from the SURFACE seeker. The mine of truth is never exhausted. The more you search the Scriptures with humble hearts, the greater will be your interest, and the more you will feel like exclaiming with Paul ‘O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out.’
PRAYER

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:
PRAYER.
Jesus said: “And when you pray, you shall not be like the hypocrites. For they love to pray. . . . that they may be seen by men. Assuredly I say to you, they have their reward.
But when you pray, go into your room, and when you have shut your door, pray to your Father who is in the secret place; and your Father who sees in secret will reward you openly. But when you pray do not use vain repetitions as the heathen do.

QUOTE FOR THE WEEK FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:
“Everything in the world is in agitation. The signs of the times are ominous. The Holy Spirit is gradually yet progressively withdrawing from the earth, and calamity follows calamity by sea and by land. There are tempests, earthquakes, fires, floods, murders of every grade. Who can read the future? Where is security?
There is assurance in nothing that is human or earthly. Rapidly are men ranging themselves under the banner they have chosen. Restlessly are they waiting and watching the movement of their leaders.

QUOTE FOR THE WEEK FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:
Pray For More Wisdom, Patiences & Grace.
“The prayers you offer in loneliness, in weariness, in trial, God answers, not always according to your expectations but always for your good.” Gospel Workers 258. Paul prayed 3 times that the “thorn in his flesh” be removed.
God’s answer: “My Grace is sufficient for you.” 2 Cor. 12: 7-10. “Where sin abounds, Grace much more abounds.” Rom 5:20. Pray sincerely, trustingly “without ceasing” but also intelligently.
