Pray For More Wisdom, Patiences & Grace

September 16, 2019

QUOTE FOR THE WEEK FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

Pray For More Wisdom, Patiences & Grace.

“The prayers you offer in loneliness, in weariness, in trial, God answers, not always according to your expectations but always for your good.” Gospel Workers 258. Paul prayed 3 times that the “thorn in his flesh” be removed.

God’s answer: “My Grace is sufficient for you.” 2 Cor. 12: 7-10. “Where sin abounds, Grace much more abounds.” Rom 5:20. Pray sincerely, trustingly “without ceasing” but also intelligently.

Do not ask God to contradict His Word by performing a “miracle.” If you are suffering tribulation for righteousness sake, remember Jesus said: “In the world you shall have tribulation. But be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16: 33.

When there is an earthquake don’t pray, Lord stop the earthquake. Instead ask God for protection and deliverance. God is using earthquakes to wake up the world. When a terrible storm is coming, don’t ask God to stop it. These are part of the prophesied early judgments. Instead pray for grace to remain calm and even fall soundly asleep, as Jesus did, while the storm and waves were raging around Him! Have an internally peaceful and blessed week. NMF.
