‘UPHOLDING ALL THINGS BY THE WORD OF HIS POWER.’ Heb.1:3, A.V.

Take note if that. ‘Upholding all things by the word of His power,’ rather than ‘by the power of His Word,’ as we would quickly say, without much thought.

“Christ is said to be ‘upholding all things.’ The word for ‘upholding’ denotes MORE than merely sustaining something so that it will not collapse. It means ‘bearing forward to a destination.’ While it includes the idea of sustaining, it has the ADDED meaning of ‘movement, of guidance, of purposeful progress.’

THE SIXTH COMMANDMENT: “Thou shalt not kill.” Exo. 20: 13; Deut. 5: 17; Matt. 5: 21,22, KJV.

O if only men would understand the spiritual magnification of this commandment (and the rest of the nine), the nation and mankind would not be suffering all the prejudice, racial hatred and killings hemorrhaging society today!

“Whosoever HATETH his brother is a MURDERER: and you know no murderer has life in him.” 1 John 3:15. “The spirit of hatred and revenge originated with Satan: and it led him to put to death [thru his combined Jewish and Roman agencies] the Son of God. Whoever cherishes MALICE or UNKINDNESS is cherishing the same spirit; and its fruit will be unto death. In the REVENGEFUL THOUGHT the evil deed lies enfolded, as the plant in the seed.” E. G. No, the symbol of America is neither the Bald Eagle nor a pendulum! According to Bible prophecy America was designated only one symbol filled with profound meaning: “Another beast with lamb-like horns that will speak like a dragon.” See Revelation 13: 11, 12. The quote above is by Ruth Bader Ginsburg (RGB for short), the oldest (85 years old) the three current female Associate Justices of the Supreme Court, quoting her late husband and fellow lawyer, Marty Ginsberg: interview with NPR’s Nina Totenberg following screening of RBG’s own biopic, “On the Basis of Sex,” reported by Amy Zimmerman, Daily Beast, 12-18-18.
