What Have We Learned Thus Far from the Divine Teacher?

“God is to be exalted by His power; who teaches like Him? Job 36: 22, K.J.V.

Jesus, the great I AM, is “the Teacher sent from God’ (John 3: 2). He is the “Prophet” prophesied by Moses to come “from among His people.” Deut. 18: 15, 18. (See also Acts 3: 22; 7: 37). Christ began teaching and instructing from the very beginning. 

Before incarnating 4,000 years after the fall in “the great mystery of godliness that God was manifest in the flesh” (2 Tim. 3: 16), partaking of the “flesh and blood”  human nature that had no preexistence in His existence as the great I AM, He was already the Teacher and Instructor of the His very first students, Adam and Eve, the father and mother of mankind.

God is Speaking. Do You Know Recognize His ‘Voice’?

    Jesus said: “My sheep know My voice, and I know them, and they follow Me.” John 10: 27.

And He continues:“I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. My Father who has given them [His lamb and sheep], is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father’s hands. I and My Father are one.” verses 28, 29.

In these short verses alone, God in Christ, through the Holy Spirit in the written and spoken Word, is speaking volumes of present, testing truth to two classes of people in this moment of earth-time in the vicinity of the prophesied startling closing events leading to the end of earth’s six-thousand-year probation. Jesus was born four thousand years after the fall. We are now “living and moving and have our being” (Acts 17: 28) in the year 2020.

The Sun and The Moon Will Never Stand Still Again

Looking down from space, it would perhaps appear that that life on earth has come to a standstill because of Covid-19 global pandemic.

But neither time nor prophecy waits for no one. Prepared or unprepared, the few remaining unfulfilled prophecies, the most awesome and stupendous events never yet witnessed or experienced by mankind of earth’s six thousand-year history “shall come to pass.” Much sooner than expected. This Covid-19 global pandemic provides us a painfully graphic picture and equally painful yet invaluable experience and education on what they will be—prepared, unprepared, underprepared or whatever.

     “The time of trouble is the crucible that is to bring out Christ-like characters. It is designed to lead the people of God to renounce Satan and his temptations.” –  E.G. White, Review and Herald, Aug. 12, 1884.

Central to our topic in this edition, at this global moment of the Covid-19 Crisis, is the parable of the ten virgins, which is a parabolic-prophecy having a double-application rather than full-bore type-antitype when the historical midnight cry and the soon-coming latter rain-powered final loud cry of the fourth angel of Revelation 18 are compared, the former preceding the latter.

Where and How Will You Worship Now?

    “Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house.” Col. 4: 15. “And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellow-soldier, and to the church that is in thy house.” Philemon 2, KJV.

Note where the earliest of the churches were situated: “the church which is in his house;” “the church that is in thy house.” As Apostle Paul attested to in his epistles, this was how the Christian church began in its infancy and has undergone its “growth” in seven definite stages and periods, as detailed in the seven churches and seven seals of Revelation chapters 2 and 3.

How God Chose Gideon’s Elite Force of Three Hundred Men

   “Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me.” Ezekiel 3: 17, vs 18-21; cf. 33: 1-20.

The gospel-prophet said: “His watchmen are blind, they are all ignorant; they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Yes, they are greedy dogs which never have enough. And they are shepherds who cannot understand; they all look to their own way, everyone for his own gain, from his own territory.” Isa. 56: 10, 11, NKJV.

The counterfeit watchmen are the unfaithful, cowering, self-serving religious shepherds of the flock “who cannot understand,” spiritual guardians of the people, pastors, ministers who are not proclaiming God’s warning messages today. God further describes them as “dumb dogs that cannot bark,” “lazy and greedy dogs which never have enough.” If ever!

Dear fellow Bible-believing Christians. Be honest. Are you worried and fearful because of this mysterious sudden emergence as if from nowhere (the blame-game is on) of this novel (new) corona virus that rapidly evolved into a global pandemic overnight, as it were like no other known previous to it—catching all flat-footed, instantly revealing how proud and self-confident finite mortals are and yet how shamefully and clumsily unprepared they are to deal with the bigger and greater catastrophes, calamities and conflicts that will be played out in the biggest stage and theater of the world.

Lessons If Learned from Covid-19 Crisis, Prepares for the Bigger Ones Coming, Preceding the Biggest One

    “Even the stork in the heavens knows her appointed times; and the turtledove, the swift, and the swallow observe the times of their coming. But My people do not know the judgment of the Lord.”       

Jer. 8: 7

Jesus said to the Pharisees and Sadducees: “When it is evening you say, It will be fair weather, for the sky is red; and in the morning it will be foul weather today, for the sky is red and threatening. Hypocrites! You know how to discern the face of the sky, but you cannot discern the signs of the times.” Matt. 16: 2, 3, N.K.J.V. “It is written” reveals that the same undiscerning ignorance of the antitypical modern Pharisees and Sadducees is being revealed today.
