EGYPT’S HATRED TOWARDS THE SABBATH

June 2, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

EGYPT’S HATRED TOWARDS THE SABBATH See Exodus 5: 4-14.

Long before the Ten Commandments were written on two tables of stone by the Creator’s own finger and given to Moses atop Mt. Sinai, the Sabbath day observance and worship was already a point controversy even while Israel was still slaves in Egypt— the first atheistic empire!

Moses and Aaron tried to teach the Israelites to observe the Sabbath day in Egypt. But resting on the Sabbath angered the pharaoh and he issued a DECREE that made Sabbath-keeping impossible in Egypt.

Historical Details of the Prophecies Presaging the Advent Movement

 QUOTABLE QUOTE

The true symbol of the United States of America is not the Bald Eagle—it’s the pendulum. And when it goes too far in one direction, it is going to swing back.”

No, the symbol of America is neither the Bald Eagle nor a pendulum! According to Bible prophecy America was designated only one symbol filled with profound meaning: “Another beast with lamb-like horns that will speak like a dragon.” See Revelation 13: 11, 12. The quote above is by Ruth Bader Ginsburg (RGB for short), the oldest (85 years old) the three current female Associate Justices of the Supreme Court, quoting her late husband and fellow lawyer, Marty Ginsberg: interview with NPR’s Nina Totenberg following screening of RBG’s own biopic, “On the Basis of Sex,” reported by Amy Zimmerman, Daily Beast, 12-18-18.

The tenth day of the seventh month: Sept. 23 or Oct. 22?

FRIDAY MORNING MANNA

The tenth day of the seventh month: Sept. 23 or Oct. 22?

QUOTE FOR THE WEEK

“Conditional prophecy is when the fulfillment is dependent on the compliance of those to whom the promise is made, with the conditions on which it is given.”

– Sylvester Bliss, “Commentary on the Apocalypse,” pp. 7.

WHEN is the Day of Atonement, commonly known as Yom Kippur?  It depends on what calendar one is following: the Rabbbinical Calendar which is based on the Oral Tradition or the Karaite Calendar which is based on the written text.

It is vital to remember that Jesus himself and all His disciples and apostles presented and defended the truth of the gospel based on “it is written,” not “spoken,” though they came by way of spoken voice of the invisible God or by the inspiration of the invisible Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Godhead.
