MEEKLY WAIT AND MURMUR NOT

May 4, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

MEEKLY WAIT AND MURMUR NOT

“But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength: they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint.” Isa. 40:31, KJV (See verses 26-31).

The reason why our failing strength is not renewed or replenished is because we don’t wait upon the Lord, and therefore we do not have the “patience of the saints” who truly wait with long endurance. As Jesus Himself said, “He that endureth to the end the same shall be saved.” (Look that up in your Bible).

NATURE STILL SPEAKS FOR GOD TO MAN

April 29, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

NATURE STILL SPEAKS FOR GOD TO MAN

God, who at various times and different ways is still speaking to us, thank God.  He speaks “in a still small voice.” When we pretend to be deaf, He speaks to us and to the churches in “trumpet tones,” as in “the midnight cry” and the “loud cry” of the third angel’s message.

He has been speaking to us through nature but we have not been looking and listening, distracted by so many things, especially this covid-19 pandemic.

THERE IS JOY IN MOURNING

April 22, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

THERE IS JOY IN MOURNING

Good Wednesday morning to all! I was deeply impressed early this morning to share this message, in a time when numberless people are, and yet will be mourning because of the unfair way they have and will be losing loved ones and friends directly or indirectly caused by this lethal coronavirus pandemic.

In His sermon on the mount, Jesus pronounced this second blessing upon the multitudes, which included His disciples-in-training: “Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted.” Matt. 5:4,KJV (See also Isa.61:1-3). Lest we miss the deeper, more meaningful and longer-lasting import of this message after the mourning for death dissipates in time, let’s hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches in the following:

WHERE ARE WE NOW?

April 9, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

WHERE ARE WE NOW?

“We also have the prophetic word made more sure, which you do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the Morning Star arises in your hearts.” 2 Pet. 1:19, NKJV

Just like yesterday’s question, what would Jesus say, do and act if He were in my shoes today? Which I know some are still working on, recalling past experiences in trust and deliverance from lesser-sized crisis than this corona virus crisis, we need to ask ourselves this pivotal question:

THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION NO ONE IS ASKING

April 8, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION NO ONE IS ASKING.

I have been waiting a bit to see if someone would ask  this question when this Corona virus pandemic suddenly descended on us. Thus far I haven’t read or heard it (maybe you have)so I will pose it to you: —- What would Jesus say, do and act if He were in my shoes today?

THE DISCIPLINE IN DARKNESS & TRIAL BRINGS OUT THE BEST IN BIRDS

Mar 30, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

THE DISCIPLINE IN DARKNESS & TRIAL BRINGS OUT THE BEST IN BIRDS.

“Even the stork in the heavens knows her appointed times; and the turtle dove, the swift, and the swallow observe the time of their coming. But My people do not know the judgment of the Lord.” Her. 8:7, NKJV.

God’s ways are not our ways (Isa. 55:8). There were more birds, both clean and unclean, that entered the typical ark of safety and were saved then there were of the long-lived yet wicked antediluvians. Yes indeed! More dumb animals saved that those made in the image and likeness of the Creator! Truth, most of the time really stranger than fiction, i.e., to those who believe fiction not the truth. We cannot love and serve both and be saved like the dumb birds. It is either or the other, God or the mammon of fear, unbelief, doubt and love of the world and the things of the world.

NEHEMIAH’S EXAMPLE IN UNIQUE CRISIS RE: GOD’S WORK

March 24 2020
FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

NEHEMIAH’S EXAMPLE IN UNIQUE CRISIS RE: GOD’S WORK.

“I am doing a great work, so that I cannot come down.” Neh 4:9. (See Nehemiah ch.6; PK ch.55, “Heathen Plots). — Nehemiah wisely refused to be distracted and thus hinder the grave task entrusted to him to accomplish the critical last phase of rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. This lesson is preserved for the guidance of all who are called “repairers of the breach,” “watchmen on the wall,” and light-bearers of the third angels’ message.

Which is Deadlier: Deception or Temptation?

Friday Morning Manna

March 6, 2020

Which is Deadlier: Deception or Temptation?

“Not everyone who says to Me, ‘Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven . . . Many will say to Me in that day, ‘Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Thy name, cast out demons in Thy name, and one done many wonderful things in Thy name? And then I will declare unto them, ‘I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice iniquity ”

Matt. 7: 23

Calling upon His, i.e., Jesus Christ’s name, invoking the authority and power His name, apparently doing the very works He entrusted to His disciples, apostles and followers— prophesying, which of course comprehends teaching and expounding on the prophecies, casting out demons, ah! Yes! exorcising demons out of the possessed, and doing many wonderful things, including performing miracles of course!
