The Waiting, Watching and Working saints of God in the last days!

February 19 2020

MID-WEEK MESSAGE FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

The Waiting, Watching and Working saints of God in the last days!

These are those who can read and prepare for the real future, as only revealed “unto the law and testimony”(Isa. 8:20).

Notice:  “Everything in the world is in agitation. The signs of the times are ominous. Coming events cast their shadow before. The Spirit of God is withdrawing from the earth, and calamity follows by land and sea. There are tempests, earthquakes, floods, murders of every grade. Who can read the future? Where is security? There is assurance in NOTHING that is human or earthly.

THE FUNDAMENTALS OF RELIGIOUS LIBERTY

February 17 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

THE FUNDAMENTALS OF RELIGIOUS LIBERTY.

Based on the Bible and the First Amendment of Bill of Rights of the U.S. Constitution: “RELIGION is ‘the duty we owe to our Creator, and the manner of discharging it.’ LIBERTY is ‘the state of being exempt from the domination of others, or from restricting circumstances.

In ethics and philosophy, the power in any rational agent to make his choices and decide his conduct for himself, spontaneously and voluntarily, in accordance with reasons or motives.’ RELIGIOUS LIBERTY, therefore, is man’s exemption from the domination of others, or from restricting circumstances: man’s freedom to make his choices and decide his conduct for himself, spontaneously and voluntarily: in his duty to his Creator, and in the manner of discharging that duty.’ Since God created man, in the nature of things the first of all relationships is that to God; and the first of all duties could be nothing but duty to God.” A.T. Jones, “Individuality in Religion,” Introduction, 5,6.

“Now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three . . .

Friday Morning Manna

“Now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three . . .

“But the greatest of these is charity, or LOVE.” 1 Cor. 13: 13. We all know that, So, what else is new? What, if any, do we still need to know? Perhaps it is not knowing more as it is first settle questions that remain unanswered satisfactorily, i.e., if we still believe somehow that “love is what makes the world go round,” “love is a many-splendored thing,” “love is the answer,” “love unites,” “love conquers all,” etc. You get it.

SOME OF SATAN’S DEADLY SNARES & SCHEMES

February 12 2020

MID-WEEK MESSAGE FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

SOME OF SATAN’S DEADLY SNARES & SCHEMES.

– “Worldly schemes, worldly investments, made to please and glorify self, bring no returns worth having. God condemns them, and what God condemns is not safe for any living soul to practice.” UL 234.

“Financial speculations are Satan’s snares, laid to catch souls. Satan engrossed men’s minds with dream-like prospects of great gain, and in their greed for gain, those who yield to him, make representations which are positively untrue. God and truth are forgotten. God desires His servants to AVOID ALL SPECULATION.

Satan may pave the way by making the FIRST investment successful, but O, how bitter will be the final outcome! If the professing Christian has success in his first speculation, his ruin is almost certain! Visionary schemes are wildly entered into as schemers present promising enterprises, which declare will pay a large percentage on all money invested. [Even] good men are fascinated and deceived.” UL 21.

Satan, prince of our fallen world, offers prosperity and fame to all who are willing to compromise their convictions.

It is my prayer that none us will fall for any of Satan’s snares and schemes, as many have and will continue to be! “Submit yourselves to God, resist the devil and he will flee away from you!”   NMF

HIGHER EDUCATION? STUDY CHRIST’S PARABLES

February 10 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

HIGHER EDUCATION? STUDY CHRIST’S PARABLES.

“All these things Jesus spoke to the multitude in parables; and without a parable He did not speak to them, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet [Isaiah].”

Matt. 13: 34, 35 (read the rest). “In the Savior’s parable teaching is an indication of what constitutes “higher learning.’ Christ might have opened to men the deepest truths of science. He might have unlocked mysteries which have required many centuries of toil and study to penetrate. He might have made suggestions in scientific lines that would have afforded food for thought and stimulus for invention to the close of time.

But He did not do this. He said nothing to gratify curiosity, or to satisfy man’s ambition by opening doors to worldly greatness. In all His teaching, Christ brought the mind of man in contact with the Infinite Mind. He did not direct the people to study men’s theories about God, His Word, or His works.

He taught them to behold Him as manifested in His works, in His Word, and by His providences. Christ did not deal with abstract theories, but in that which is essential to the development of character, that which will enlarge men’s capacity for knowing God, and increase his efficiency to do good.

He spoke to men of those truths that relate to the conduct of life, and that take hold upon eternity.” COL 22, 23. There are 40 parables of Christ recorded in the NT. Don’t you think they’re priceless compared to all the politics, entertainment and unnecessary “cares of this life”?! If you do let’s find whatever time is left to study these “higher education” subjects! NMF

Revealed! The Fowler’s fastening Cords and Snares!

“I will say unto the Lord, He is my refuge and my fortress: my God; in Him will I trust. Surely He will deliver thee from the snare of the fowler.”

Ps. 91: 2, 3, K.J.V.

Here’s more: “Our soul is escaped as a bird out of a snare of the fowlers: the snare is broken and we are escaped. Our help is in the name of the Lord, who made heaven and earth.” Ps. 124: 7, 8. “Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.” Prov. 6: 5. “The days of visitation are come, the days of recompense are come: Israel shall know it: the prophet is a fool, the spiritual man is mad, for the multitude of thine iniquity, and the great hatred. The watchman of Ephraim was with my God: but the [false] prophet is a snare of a fowler in all his ways, and hatred in the house of his God.” Hos. 9: 8.

WISE OR FOOLISH VIRGINS?

February 5, 2020

MID-WEEK MESSAGE FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

WISE OR FOOLISH VIRGINS?

“Behold, The Bridegroom cometh; go ye out to meet Him!” Matt. 25:6.— “The great controversy is nearing its end. Every report of calamity by sea or land is a testimony to the fact that the end to all things is at hand. Wars and rumors of wars declare it. Is there a Christian whose pulse does not beat faster as he anticipates the great events opening before us? The Lord is coming. We hear the footsteps of an approaching God.” OHC346.

What/Who are the Foolish virgins? “The state of the CHURCH represented by the foolish virgins, is also spoken of as the Laodicean state.” 2RH420.

THE NATURE OF THE PREP CLEANSING WORK ON EARTH

February 3, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

THE NATURE OF THE PREP CLEANSING WORK ON EARTH.

“Having therefore these promises dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves of all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” 2 Cor. 7:1.

The testimony of Jesus says: “Again and again I have been shown that God is trying to lead us back, step by step, to His original design—that man should subsist upon the natural products of the earth.”
