BEHOLD THE SUN NOT THE CLOUDS, THE ROSES NOT THE THORNS.

March 26, 2020
FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

BEHOLD THE SUN NOT THE CLOUDS, THE ROSES NOT THE THORNS.

“But unto you that fear My name, shall the Sun of Righteousness arise with healing in His wings.” Mal. 4:2. “We also have the prophetic word made sure, which you would do well to heed as a light that shines in a dark place, until the day dawns and the Morning Star arises in your hearts.” 2 Pet.1:19, NKJV.

The counterfeits Sun of righteousness is the “son of perdition,” the “man of sin”(2 Thess. 2:3)—symbols of Satan whose vicegerent on earth is the Antichrist, the papacy— who has a lot to do with what is taking the world by storm in this current covid-19 crisis, in case you don’t know or lost sight of in the manufactures excitement, panic, confusion and fear-mongering. It has been said that “Back of the clouds the sun is always shining.”  That is, behind and far higher than the dark, foreboding, glowering storm clouds is the steady bright sun, always shining, never dark. By nature, we tend to absorb what we gaze at and then bounce it off or reflect it on others as either a “savor of life unto life or death unto death”(2 Cor.2:15,16).

If we have been looking too long at the dark clouds, it will show when it rains down in our lives. But if we have been gazing, by faith, beyond the dark clouds, to the sun, it will also show but with starker contrast when it suddenly comes down as a fearful thunderstorm— like now. “Faith is the substance of things hopes for, the evidence of things not seen.” “For the things which are seen are temporary and temporal but the things which are not seen are eternal.” 2 Cor.!4:18.

If we have been watching too many movies and shows, sports, psycho politics or the fast-trending news of the covid19 crisis (which is already part of the crisis itself, among many others) and listening to the overnight “experts”’who didn’t see it coming— instead of IT IS WRITTEN by the only Author who can see one end of eternity to the other—it will definitely show, and is currently showing. So when was the last time you took a stroll in the beautiful garden of God’s Word and gazed at the pinks, violets and blood-red roses of His promises which are conditional? You see, “To blot out the promises of God from the Word would be like blotting the sun from the sky. There would be then nothing to gladden our experience. God has placed the promises in His Word to lead us to have faith in Him. In these promises He draws back the veil from eternity, giving us a glimpse of the ‘far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory’ which awaits the OVERCOMER.

Let us then, rest in God. Let us praise Him for giving us such a revelation [during this crisis] of His purposes. All along our pathway God places flowers of promise to brighten our journey. [The PROBLEM is]: Many refuse to gather these flowers, choosing instead the thorns and the thistles. At every step they weep and mourn, when they might rejoice in the Lord because He has made the road to heaven so pleasant. The unfailing promises of God will keep your heart in perfect peace “ Letter 27,1886.

This little invisible demon of a virus is called “novel” not noble, meaning “new.” But haven’t they read It Is Written that “There is nothing new [novel] under the sun? “That which has been is what will be. That which is done is what will be done. And there is nothing new under the sun. Is there ANYTHING of which it may be said, See this is new [novel]? It has already been in ancient times.”’Eccl. 1:9,10. To all and anything that Satan has done and yet will do is “old stuff,” nothing new. God saw it from the beginning. That’s why he is also described as “that OLD serpent (and serpent of old) called the Devil and Satan.”(Rev. 12:9).

Should we fear something new that is really old? F.E.A.R. Is also False Evidence Appearing Real. I’d rather fear God than what man and viruses can do. What do you think?   Pastor Nat
