THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION NO ONE IS ASKING

April 8, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION NO ONE IS ASKING.

I have been waiting a bit to see if someone would ask  this question when this Corona virus pandemic suddenly descended on us. Thus far I haven’t read or heard it (maybe you have)so I will pose it to you: —- What would Jesus say, do and act if He were in my shoes today?

WHERE & HOW WILL YOU WORSHIP NOW?

April 7, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

WHERE & HOW WILL YOU WORSHIP NOW?

“Salute the brethren which are in Laodicean, and Nymphas, and the church which is in your house.” Col. 4:15. “And to our beloved Apphia, and Archippus our fellow-soldier, and the the church that is in thy house.” Philemon 2, KJV.

Note where the earliest of the churches were situated: “the church which is in thy house;” “the church which is in his house.” This was how the Christian church began in its pure infancy, and in the days ahead, this is how it will end in its spiritual maturity— because of the persecution crisis, not just the corona virus crisis when we finally lose our religious liberty, as prophesied and therefore will “certainly come to pass.”

THIS TIME, NO MORE TIME EXCUSES REMAIN

April 6, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

THIS TIME, NO MORE TIME EXCUSES REMAIN.

“Remember how short my time is: wherefore hast Thou made all men in vain? Ps. 89:47. “So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Ps. 90:12, KJV.

God gives, and takes away but only for our benefit and His glory. This corona virus is taking away a lot but is also “giving back,” depending on how you view it spiritually.

Many who have pleaded the excuse that they “just had no time” in their madhouse daily routine to study God’s Word briefly, much less in depth, just saw “Mr. Excuse” walk out of the door, slammed it shut, leaving them inside their homes alone with a long-ignored VIP guest named “Mr. Time.”

GOD’S PURPOSE FOR YOU IS BY DESIGN, NOT DEFAULT

April 5, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

GOD’S PURPOSE FOR YOU IS BY DESIGN, NOT DEFAULT.

Good morning on this first working day, Sunday! Let me share with you thoughts that have emerged in my mind as I turn my eyes away from a world in turmoil and focus them on God’s Word, seeking for comfort, strength, wisdom and guidance.

Here’s a set of thoughts which I wrote down and entitled with the above:  “We are by design, not a mere default.”

HOW MUCH DO WE REALLY TRUST GOD?

April 3, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

HOW MUCH DO WE REALLY TRUST GOD?

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will direct your paths. Do not be wise in your own eyes, fear the Lord and depart from all evil. It will be health to your flesh and strength to your bones.” Prov.3:5-8,NKJV.

If ever we needed health to our flesh and strength to our bones, it is now in the midst of this combined pandemic of a coronavirus + fear+ lack of trust. We forget, even as we like to say “God is in control,” that God uses divinely calibrated-and-controlled trials to test, develop and perfect our faith and trust in Him, not on our own understanding neither in finite institutions of men.

How God Chose Gideon’s Elite Force of Three Hundred Men

Friday Morning Manna

April 3, 2020

How God Chose Gideon’s Elite Force of Three Hundred Men

“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me.” Ezekiel 3: 17, vs 18-21; cf. 33: 1-20.

The gospel-prophet said: “His watchmen are blind, they are all ignorant; they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Yes, they are greedy dogs which never have enough. And they are shepherds who cannot understand; they all look to their own way, everyone for his own gain, from his own territory.” Isa. 56: 10, 11, NKJV.

The counterfeit watchmen are the unfaithful, cowering, self-serving religious shepherds of the flock “who cannot understand,” spiritual guardians of the people, pastors, ministers who are not proclaiming God’s warning messages today. God further describes them as “dumb dogs that cannot bark,” “lazy and greedy dogs which never have enough.” If ever!

ARE WE GOD’S ALERT AND COURAGEOUS WATCHMEN AND SOLDIERS?

April 2, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

ARE WE GOD’S ALERT AND COURAGEOUS WATCHMEN AND SOLDIERS?

“Son of man, I have made you watchman for the house of Israel; therefore hear a word from My mouth, and given them warning from Me.” Eze. 3:17, 18-21; cf. 33:1-20. The gospel-prophet declares of the unfaithful “watchmen.”: “His watchmen are blind, they are all ignorant; they are all dumb dogs that will not bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Yes, they are greedy dogs which never have enough. And they are SHEPHERDS who cannot understand; they all look their own way, everyone for his own gain, from his own territory.” Isa. 56:10,11,NKJV.

These no doubt refers to the “prosperity gospel” minister/pastors who are nowhere to be found with their “prosperity” during this terrible time of adversity. I fear for my soul and yours too, if I fail or refuse, for whatever reason or excuse, to hold back the testing truths and warnings for this very time! And so here are more of God’s warnings, not to cause more fear or discouragement but to encourage and challenge all to put on the whole armor of God and be ready “to fight the battles of the Lord where champions are few.”

AS THE COVID-19 CRISIS IS A GLOBAL ISSUE OF CONCERN SO WILL THE FINAL CRISIS.

April 1, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

AS THE COVID-19 CRISIS IS A GLOBAL ISSUE OF CONCERN SO WILL THE FINAL CRISIS.

“We are to be put on view to the world, and to angels, and to men.” 1 Cor.4:9, Bible in Basic English.

There is a difference between “cure” and “solution” in the present context of this Covid-19 pandemic. If a cure is not quickly found but instead more calamities follow in its train, prophecy tells us what happens next: the final blame game is resorted to by those who themselves are responsible for causing them— as in the time of apostate king Ahab and Elijah. The ones who will be blamed are those faithful to God’s law, the Bible Sabbath in particular.
