Kobe Bryant’s Sudden Death Reminds All: Today May Be Our Last. How Well Did We Live It?

It is fallen human propensity. We mortals forget what we should remember, and sadly, more often than not, in that general forgetfulness, miss and even lose what matters most. For this reason, reminders are indispensable and may prove to be a life saver. We  need to be reminded of what we should never miss, even if we forget the rest.

So, while it is still fresh in the consciousness of countless grieving fans and admirers nationally and even globally, holding its own amidst the crush of cascading events, prominent of which are the U.S. history-making current impeachment trial of  president Donald Trump, dovetailing into the approaching 2020 presidential election, the steadily mounting unrests, conflicts and wars in an increasingly angry, edgy, and violent world, and one quickly following the other without hardly a break—the devastations of record-breaking wildfires, uptick of earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, flooding, outbreaks of new, deadly diseases attributed to what they call “global warming,” etc.,– let’s do something together with our hearts and minds. Consider the following:

GOOD ANGELS MORE POWERFUL THAN EVIL ONES: WE NEED NOT BE OVERCOME NOR OVERWHELMED WITH ANYTHING

January 29 2020

MID-WEEK MESSAGE FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

GOOD ANGELS MORE POWERFUL THAN EVIL ONES: WE NEED NOT BE OVERCOME NOR OVERWHELMED WITH ANYTHING. See Eph. 2:2.

“It is expressly stated that Satan [as the prince of the power of the air] works in the children of disobedience, not merely having access to their minds, but working through their influence, conscious or unconscious, to draw others to the same disobedience.

KOBE’S SUDDEN DEATH REMINDS US TO LIVE EACH DAY AS OUR TOMORROW

January 27 2020

KOBE’S SUDDEN DEATH REMINDS US TO LIVE EACH DAY AS OUR TOMORROW.

“Come now, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, but and sell and make profit, whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears a little time then vanished away.

Instead you ought to say, If the Lord wills, we shall live and do this or that. But now you boast of your ignorance. All such boasting is evil.” James 4 :13-17, NKJV. — We are being reminded lest we forget or are deceived as to the uncertainty of the future outside and independent of Christ the Life-giver.

The Spirit of Prophecy Explains What is Happening in the World Today and What to Expect and Prepare for:

The Spirit of Prophecy Explains What is Happening in the World Today and What to Expect and Prepare for:

One of the nine spiritual gifts [not the same as the nine fruits of the Spirit, Gal. 5: 22) to the church enumerated in 1 Corinthians 12 is the gift of prophecy. But in these last days of earth’s probation, reckoned from the year 1844, the end of the 2300-day prophecy of Daniel 8: 14, the Revelator specifies it in this order: First identified is the church that has it: “They that keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus.” Rev. 14: 12. as “the Spirit of prophecy, which is the testimony of Jesus.” In Rev. 19: 10 John is told that he is a “fellow servant” of the One who gave him the message “and your brethren who have the testimony of Jesus. Worship God! For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy.”

FAITHFULLY ENDURE TO THE END

MID-WEEK MESSAGE FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

January 22 2020

FAITHFULLY ENDURE TO THE END.

“As it was in the days of Noah, so shall it be in the days of the coming of the Son of man.” Matt. 24:27,28.

“He that endures to the end the same shall be saved.” Matt. 10:22.

“As Noah proclaimed his warning message, some listened, and worked with him in building the ark. But they did not endure. Evil influences prevailed. They turned away from the truth and became scoffers (2 Pet. 3:3).

Thus it shall be in the last days of this earth’s history. Those who today hear the message of truth, but do not believe, will fall amid the MORAL infidelity, even as in Noah’s day those who were not FIRMLY grounded failed to stand till the end of their probation.

NEW GLORIES FROM GOD’S WORD DAILY

January 20 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

NEW GLORIES FROM GOD’S WORD DAILY.

“Let us know. Let us pursue the knowledge of the Lord. His going forth is established as the morning. He will come to us like the rain, like latter and former rain to the earth.” Hosea 6:2, NKJV.

— “In the Scriptures thousands of gems of truth lie hidden from the SURFACE seeker. The mine of truth is never exhausted. The more you search the Scriptures with humble hearts, the greater will be your interest, and the more you will feel like exclaiming with Paul ‘O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out.’

What Christians Should Be Vigilant Over this New Year

What Christians Should Be Vigilant Over this New Year

“I know your works, that you have a name that your are alive, but you are dead. Be watchful and strengthen the things which remain, that are ready to die, for I have not found your works perfect before God. Remember therefore how you have received and heard; hold fast and repent. Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.

Rev. 1-3, N.K.J.V.

Nominal Christianity. Even before this term came into use today, it was already one of the great problems besieging early Christianity, a grave threat to its purity and undermining its mission. God to Jesus to the angel to John (Rev. 1: 1-3) was shown all that was to happen in the last days and was ordered to write it to the churches, in this specific order of transmission. Rev. 1: 1-4. Apostle Paul quickly picked it up and magnified it in his work. This is a clear description of a spiritually dead “chosen” people, or whoever claims to be “His people,”—beginning with rebellious ancient Israel, a generally spiritually dead church and an individually spiritually dead, professing Christian. “You have a name that you are alive, but you are dead.” Not dead or alive but alive yet dead. What an irony! Such is the nefarious work of the mystery of iniquity!

STORE YOUR MINDS WITH THE TESTING TRUTHS: THE FINAL TEST OF FAITH IS COMING

January 15 2020

MID-WEEK MESSAGE CROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

STORE YOUR MINDS WITH THE TESTING TRUTHS: THE FINAL TEST OF FAITH IS COMING.

See Matt. 10:16-20 first. “The servants of Christ were to prepare no set speech to present when brought to the trial. Their preparation was to be made DAY BY DAY in treasuring up the precious truths of God’s Word, and through prayer strengthening their faith.

When they are brought into trial, the Holy Spirit would bring to remembrance the very truths that would be needed. A DAILY, earnest striving to know God, and Jesus Christ whom He has sent, would bring POWER and EFFICIENCY to the soul.
