THERE ARE ONLY TWO SIDES

After long years of prayerfully, diligently, persistently and consistently studying God’s word, for no other purpose than to personally know and understand (1) who the invisible GOD is and how He has revealed His character, will, and purposes to fallen mankind since the fall (2) what really and how efficacious is His Gospel and its plan of redemption/salvation to save me FIRST, a wretched soul enslaved by ignorance, selfishness, inherited sinful propensities and weaknesses, a culturally-acquired and environmentally-enhanced “love of the world and the things of the world and the pride of life”—-with the whole range of experiences that come with this rugged yet fulfilling Christian quest and journey—-I have come to certain conclusions, all based on the above, and that is:

God’s Word reveals that in the beginning and at the end of all things, there are only TWO (general) CLASSES, or KINDS, or SIDES or TYPES in the great controversy between Christ and Satan, the light of truth and righteousness vs the darkness of sin, error and ignorance and in the plan of salvation, which I have summarized alphabetically as follows:
Adams, Actions/Activities, Affections, Angels, Animals, Apostles, Armies, Awakenings; Brothers: Captains, Characters, Choices, Christs, Christians, Churches, Citizens, Consciences; Dead, Disciples, Duties; Examples; Faiths, Families, Fathers, Followers, Friends. Generals, Glories, Gods, Gospels, Governments, Grace; Harvests, Hearts, Homes; Images; Jerusalems; Kings, Kingdoms. Knowledges: Laws, Leaders, Living (alive), Loves; Marks, Masters, Messengers, Movements; Numbers; Obedience, Opportunities; Peoples, Prayers, Priests, Prophets; Rains, Refuges, Repentance, Rewards; Sanctuaries, Servants, Sexes, Sheep, Shepherds, Sins, Sinners, Slaves, Sons, Souls, Spirits, Stars, Sufferings; Temples; Understandings, Unions/Unity; Victories, Virgins, Visions; Wars, Ways, Weddings, Wisdoms, Witnesses, Women, Worshippers, Workers; Zeal.

“CHOOSE ye this day WHOM ye will serve, WHETHER the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell, BUT as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24: 15, KJV.

“And Elijah came unto ALL the people, and said, How long will you HALT BETWEEN TWO OPINIONS? If the Lord be GOD, follow Him: but if BAAL (sun god), then follow him. And the people ANSWERED HIM NOT A WORD.” 1 Kings 18:21.

“There are ONLY TWO CLASSES. Each party is distinctly STAMPED [sealed/marked], EITHER with the SEAL of the living God or the MARK of the beast, or his IMAGE. Each son or daughter of Adam CHOOSES Christ OR Satan as his General.

All who places themselves with the DISLOYAL are under Satan’s black banner and charged with rejecting and ‘despitefully USING Jesus Christ. They are charged with DELIBERATELY ‘crucifying the Lord of glory’!” E. G. White, Manuscript 40, 1897.

There are no “fence-sitters” or mere “neutral spectators” in the battle for souls and for eternal life. We are either on the Lord’s side or else we are for Satan. Bless all, NMF

THE SWORD FOR THE BATTLE FOR OUR SOULS

“And the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God.”

Eph. 6:17, A.V.

“For the Word of God is living (quick, KJV) and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division (‘dividing asunder,’ KJV) of the soul and the spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. And there is no creature hidden from His sight, but all things are naked and open to the eyes of Him to whom we have to do.” Heb. 4:12.

“God has provided abundant means for successful warfare against the evil that is in the world. The BIBLE is the armory where we may equip for the struggle. Our loins must be girt about with truth. Our breastplate must be righteousness. The shield of faith must be in our hand, the helmet of salvation on our brow; and with the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, we are to CUT our way through the obstruction and and entanglements of sin.” Acts of the Apostles, p. 502.

SELF-EXAMINATION: ANTIDOTE TO DRIFTING AWAY SPIRITUALLY

“Lest at any time we let them slip (drift away from).”

Heb. 2:1, KJV.

“For every one who falls into great sin, there are then who are drifting. Even when one seems to leap suddenly into sin, it is often the case that he has  PREVIOUSLY been drifting, UNNOTICED by others, and perhaps by himself. Most open sin BEGINS by slowly drifting. Therefore, let all beware!

“Float past, ‘drift away,’ ‘slip away.’ These are different renderings, and all of them significant. We are told that we OUGHT to give the more earnest heed, that is, we MUST, we OWE it, it is IMPERATIVE. We are to be watchful lest we float past, or drift away from the MOORINGS of the Word of God!

“In view of this danger, it behooves  each one to EXAMINE HIMSELF, lest he be drifting without being aware of his peril:(1) carelessness in prayer (2) discontinuance of family worship (3) absence from church services (4) lukewarmness in spiritual of church activities (5) neglect of Bible study of private devotion (6) avoidance of the ordinances of the Lord’s house (7) remissness in tithes and offerings—these and many other signs should be carefully watched. Our ATTITUDE towards them indicates if and how fast we are drifting! The apostle’s admonition against drifting is as applicable today [right now] as when it was written.” – M. L. Andreasen, The Book of Hebrews, p. 82.

“Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Prove yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? Unless indeed you are disqualified.” 2 Cor. 13:5, NKJV.

David prayed: “Examine me, O Lord, and prove me; try my mind and my heart.” Ps. 26:2. See also Ps. 139: 23, 24.

PRESUMPTUOUS MISHANDLING OF GOD’S WORD PREPARES FOR SPIRITUALISM

“Bind up the testimony, seal the law among My disciples. . . . And when they say to you, Seek those who are mediums and wizards, who whisper and mutter, should not a people seek their God? Should they seek the dead in behalf of the living? To the law and testimony! If they do not speak according to this word, it is because there is no light (of truth) in them.”

Isa. 8:18,19,20, NKJV.

“In the days of Christ the leaders and teachers of Israel [the Jewish nation] were powerless to resist the work of Satan. They were neglecting the ONLY means by which they could have withstood EVIL SPIRITS. It was by the Word of God that Christ overcame the wicked one.”

“The leaders of Israel professed to be the expositors of God’s Word BUT they had studied it only to SUSTAIN their traditions, and enforce their man-made observances. By their interpretations they made it express sentiments that God has NEVER given.”

LEST WE FORGET OUR MISSION AND GET DISTRACTED BY ALL THE EXCITEMENT & COMMOTION.

“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at My mouth, and give them warning from Me.” Eze. 3: 17. “And thou shalt speak My words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear [accept it or reject, like it or dislike it].” ch. 2:3, KJV.

As we near the coming final test, part of the true preparation for what is coming is to make sure we know what we are doing and what the original mission was given to the remnant to accomplish for Him.

Here is the message and the specific work attached to it that He wants His true messenger to give to the world around them, starting in their homes and outward.

Good morning Daniels and Daniellas, servants of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you last night from the lions crowned as a terrible virus? (Dan.6:20). If we have been faithfully walking in the light of all the truths we have been learning, our joint answer should be just like faithful Daniel recorded in verses 21, 22.

THE WATCHMAN’S SOLEMN WORK & RESPONSIBILITY

“Watchman, what of the night? The watchman said, If you will inquire, inquire; Return! Come back!” Isa. 21:10,11. 

“Son of man, I have made you a watchman for the house of Israel; therefore, hear a word from My mouth, and give them warning from Me.” Eze.28:17 (Note: read verses 18-21 before moving on!). 

“In a special sense Seventh-day Adventist’s have been set in the world as watchmen and light-bearers [cf. Matt. 5:14-16].

To them has been entrusted the last warning for a perishing world. On them is shining wonderful light from the word of God. They have been given a work of the most solemn import—the proclamation of the first, second and third angels’ messages.
