Thank God for Blending Divine Nature with Human Nature Forever!

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels [both evil and good], preached among the Gentiles [and the chosen people] believed on in the world, received up in glory [as a Victor over Satan, temptation, death, and the grave].”

1 Tim. 3: 16.

This Thanksgiving 2019 we should thank and praise God “with all our heart, soul, strength and mind” (Luke 10: 27) for patiently, gradually and progressively unfolding to the astonished eyes of earnest truth-seekers the great mystery of godliness that is revealed in the Creator’s incarnation! Ever after that priceless, precious, precise moment in time that no finite mind exactly knows when and how, humanity quietly and effortlessly blended with divinity for eternity!

LOVE BEGETS LOVE

November 25, 2019

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

LOVE BEGETS LOVE.

Whether accepted by those to whom it is shown or even when ignored or spurned, true love does not expect, much less demand love, attention or respect in return but loves unconditionally. It is not a feeling but a living principle. Such love is only of and from God.

It is impossible for sinful man to love unconditionally for he is yet selfish, self-centered, indulging in self-pity. This love is partial, mercenary, judgmental fitful, largely physical, passionate and sensual, thus fleeting and transitory. It is blind. It is conditional. But by the biblical number of 70 years, I now humbly realize how truly blessed I am to be the unworthy object of the love of the God of love.

Does Imparted Divine Nature Make Us Divine?

Does Imparted Divine Nature Make Us Divine?

Grace and peace be multiplied to you in the knowledge of God and Jesus our Lord, as His divine power has given to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of Him who called us by glory and virtue, by which have been given to us exceedingly great and precious promises, that through these you may be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust.”

2 Pet. 1: 2-4, N.K.J.V.

It is by the power of Christ’s divine nature—rather than His incarnated human nature—that He gives all things pertaining to life, i.e., both temporal and eternal, and godliness. To those who willingly respond to His call to character glory, hence, virtue, obtain a knowledge of Him in this particular regard.

When Will Humanity Ever Learn to Fully Trust Divinity?

Why did God Creator have to come down to fallen man’s level in the incarnation?

It was to demonstrate by “manifesting to the world, men and angels” for all eternity the truth of God’s undying and unconditional love for sinners, which likewise reveals the secret of victory of fallen man over Satan and sin, which is: the complete surrender of man man’s will to God’s will, the lost sinner’s will to the Savior’s will.

Pray For More Wisdom, Patiences & Grace

September 16, 2019

QUOTE FOR THE WEEK FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

Pray For More Wisdom, Patiences & Grace.

“The prayers you offer in loneliness, in weariness, in trial, God answers, not always according to your expectations but always for your good.” Gospel Workers 258. Paul prayed 3 times that the “thorn in his flesh” be removed.

God’s answer: “My Grace is sufficient for you.” 2 Cor. 12: 7-10. “Where sin abounds, Grace much more abounds.” Rom 5:20. Pray sincerely, trustingly “without ceasing” but also intelligently.

Possessing the Peace that Passeth Understanding

September 9, 2019

QUOTE FOR THE WEEK FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

Possessing the Peace that Passeth Understanding.

“Great peace have they who love Thy law and nothing shall offend them.” Ps. 119:65. See Matt. 8: 23-34; Mark 4: 35-41; Luke 8: 22-39.

Like the first disciples we are all aboard the same boat that is negotiating the turbulent sea of life headed towards the destination called heaven and eternal life. “How often the first disciples’ experience of forgetfulness and lack of faith is ours today!

The Second Adam: The World’s Sin and Guilt Bearer

The Second Adam: The World’s Sin and Guilt Bearer

Jesus Christ, the “second” or “last Adam” (1 Cor. 15: 45-47)  was subject to the first death of all mortals because He had to die, not merely “walk in the valley of the shadow of death,” which He also did, but temporarily came under it as the one-and-only, once-and-for-all atoning sacrifice (Heb. 9: 25-28; 10: 10, 12, 14) that the Father made of His only-begotten Son at the antitypical altar of sacrifice of Calvary.

The “wages of sin is death.” Rom. 6: 23. In His death the second Adam, in His human nature “made in the likeness of sinful flesh,” did not die because He fell under the power of “him who had the power of death,” that is the devil” (Heb. 2: 14), because of the following:

The Human Natures of the First and Second Adams: The First and Second deaths

The Human Natures of the First and Second Adams: The First and Second deaths

Here we will deal more specifically with the two Adams in the context of their corresponding human natures that the plan of redemption of the whole gospel deals with as the divine antidote for and answer to temptation, fallen sinful human nature, sin and its twin consequence of the first and second deaths.

All these and infinitely more had to be comprehended, played out, and fully resolved “before men and angels,” within the pre-determined time frame, on fallen earth, “in the likeness of sinful flesh” (Rom. 8: 2) that the Creator partook of and forever retains throughout the ages of eternity. These are astonishing aspects of that incomprehensible yet completely non-controversial “great mystery of godliness, that God was manifest in the flesh.” 1 Tim. 3: 16.
