WORLD NOW PRIMED FOR SATAN’S ‘LYING WONDERS’
“Even him, whose coming is after the working of Satan with all power and signs and lying wonders, and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved.” 2 Thess.2:9,10,KJV. (See verses 3-12; compare to Rev. 13: 13,14).
Nobody in his right mind wants to imagine the worst, but the worst is not some virtual monster; it is a calloused reality.
“The Word encourages/exhorts the remnant to remain faithful to the end with specific prophetic-promises that the best is yet to come but at the same time, solemnly warns that the worst precedes the best.
“Such is the very nature of the great controversy of six thousand years that will come to an end. Reckoning back to the recorded successive ages of the patriarchs, beginning with Adam, earth now is in its six-thousandth year.
This is the unvarnished truth that forewarns to forearm the commandment-keeping people against “the father of lies and murderer from the beginning’s “lying wonders of the last days.”
The mysterious, suddenly global coronavirus pandemic, exacerbated by the confusing, contradicting and discordant efforts and declarations of the leaders and experts, producing no clear, assuring path forward, now renders mankind extremely vulnerable because of fear and desperation of this scale never seen, and thus never prepared for.
“What then, should the diligent Bible student expect and prepare for, not in fear but “in love, power and a sound mind?”
“We are coming right upon the time when Satan is to work with all manner of bewitching influences, and those who are charmed with them now, or give them their countenance now, will be ready to be swept right in, to act a part with the devil then.
“Evil angels are working all the time upon the hearts of men. Satan is working with everyone who is not under the control of the Spirit of God. It is the lying wonders of the devil that will take the whole world [global] captive, and will cause fire to come down from heaven in the sight of men. [Rev. 13:13,14].
“He is to work miracles, and this wonderful, miracle-working power is to sweep in the whole world.
“It is now beginning.”
I want to tell you another thing. The vials of God’s wrath and the SPRINKLING of them are already coming [i.e., already here]. What is the matter that we do not discern it? It is because the light of truth does not affect the heart.
“The Spirit of God is BEING WITHDRAWN from the world. You hear of calamities by land and by sea, and they are constantly increasing. What is the matter? The Spirit of God is TAKEN AWAY from those who have the lives of men in their hands, and Satan is coming in to control them, because they give themselves to his control.” E.G.White, Vol. 2, Selected Messages, pp. 51, 52.
“I have so much more to share with you so that you don’t consciously entertain false and vain hopes and be ensnared by the modern-day Babylonian “soothsayers and magicians.”
