MESSAGE FOR THE DAY:
WALKING IN THE LIGHT BRINGS COURAGE.
Good morning Daniels and Daniellas, servants of the living God, has your God, whom you serve continually, been able to deliver you last night from the lions crowned as a terrible virus? (Dan.6:20). If we have been faithfully walking in the light of all the truths we have been learning, our joint answer should be just like faithful Daniel recorded in verses 21, 22.
What does it mean “to walk in the light” when Daniel was in the dark den with the lions throughout the dark night till the break of dawn? – “To walk in the light means, “You are not to rest satisfied simply in saying, ‘I am a child of God.’ Did you behold Jesus last night in the darkness of your home isolation? “Are you beholding Jesus, and by beholding, becoming changed into His likeness” of a combination of courage, calmness based on knowledge and experience in God’s Word and faithful
obedience to all His moral and health laws? “To walk in the light means advancement and progress in spiritual attainments. . . To walk in the light means to “walk uprightly,” to “walk in the way of the Lord,” to “walk by faith not by sight,” to “walk in the Spirit” in a spiritual, not carnal mind, to “walk in the truth” not in the lies of Satan, to “walk in love” as described in 1 Corinthians 13 and Romans 8: 35-39, to “walk in the newness of life.” It is “perfecting holiness in the fear of God”(1 Cor.7:1). . . “When the light of heaven shines upon the human agent, his countenance will express the joy of the Lord within. It is the absence of Christ from the soul that makes people sad and of a doubtful mind. It is the want of Christ that makes the countenance sad, and the life is a pilgrimage of sighing. Rejoicing is the very keynote of the Word of God for all who receive Him. Why?
Because they have the LIGHT OF LIFE. Light brings gladness and joy, and that joy is expressed in the life and character.” (Adapted from SD 200). Once more “be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might! He is stronger than the lions in the den and mightier than a terrible virus! Enjoy your day wisely! Pastor Nat ️
