‘Uncontrollable Forces Waiting’
The nation and the whole world is ‘testing the waters.’ In fits and starts, afflicted, inflicted and conflicted America, sharing the same lot with the rest of the edgy, wary and weary world is “testing the waters” to see how quickly and widely it can “open up” and rescue its rapidly-sinking economy—the other pecuniary half of the health pandemic, — without prematurely reactivating a more devastating “second wave” by this fall, as feared by the health scientists.
With sustained physical (more practical than “social”) distancing, using masks (which unsurprisingly has been turned into a “novel” fashion item, or weaponized as political statement), and other aggressive yet so common-sense sanitary and cleansing protocols to mitigate the pandemic, the much-sought after covid-19 test and contact-tracing novel mechanism, is to reveal and hopefully contain and control the spread of infection of this no-longer novel virus, until either a super vaccine, “herd immunity” is acquired on a national scale or a highly improbable permanent “cure” is found.
However, in the grand scheme of prophesied end-time events, there is another astounding possibility right here and now: Satan, the “father of lies and murderer from the beginning” is a master miracle-worker, too, counterfeiting Christ. He can and causes diseases and many other catastrophes and even cataclysms, erroneously defined and written into contracts as “force majeur” or “acts of God.” Therefore, he can “heal” diseases as well. This follows the Hegelian formula of “thesis, antithesis, synthesis,” meaning, create the problem, prepare the solution, control the situation! (See The Great Controversy, 1911 ed., The Impending Conflict, ch. 36, pp. 589-591).
A test during the testing time of the pre-advent judgment
God’s test, however, using this Covid-19 crisis, during this pre-advent testing time that has been in session in the heavenly sanctuary for about one hundred seventy-six years this October 2020, is to reveal moral character and faith condition in order that our defects may be corrected quickly under the power of grace imparted by the Holy Spirit to all humble and honest Christians determined “to overcome even as Christ overcame.”
There are the little tests, quizzes is you please, preceding the final test, as there will the “little time of trouble” while probation is still open before “the time of trouble such as never was since there was a nation since that time” (Dan. 12: 1) after the close of probation. Then will be the super-brief “Jacob’s time of trouble” during the seven last plagues for the 144, 000. Here’s the broad prophetic preview:
“When the testing time shall come, those who have made God’s word their rule of life shall be revealed. In summer there is no noticeable difference between evergreens and other trees; but when the blasts of winter come, the evergreens remain unchanged, while other trees are stripped of their foliage. “So the false-hearted professor may not now be distinguished from the real Christian, but the time is just upon us, when the difference will be apparent.
Let opposition arise, let bigotry and intolerance again bear sway, let persecution be kindled, and the half-hearted and hypocritical will waver and yield the faith; but the true Christian will stand as a rock, his faith stronger, his hope, brighter, than in the days of prosperity. Says the psalmist: ‘Thy righteousness are my meditation.’ ‘Through Thy precepts I get understanding: therefore I hate every false way.’ Ps. 119: 99, 104. ‘Happy is the man that findeth wisdom.’ ‘He shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful [anxious, fearful, worried] in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit.’” Prov. 3: 13; Jer. 17: 8,” – E. G. White, The Great Controversy, 1911 ed., p. 602.
‘Uncontrollable Forces Waiting’
This is the actual title of the chapter in Testimonies to Ministers and Gospel Workers, pp. 116-118, Pacific Press Publishing Asso., Boise, Idaho and Oshawa, Ontario, Canada, penned by God’s servant, Mrs. Ellen G. White. Since few have read it, and fewer still have this book, which I strongly urge all, whether ordained minister, laymen workers or church members, to obtain and study, I will quote the whole chapter here to emphasize to all what you may have been missing all these times by way of real advanced light, going forward in this current crisis!. To wit (bracketed words and other emphasis mine]:
“Those who eat the flesh and drink the blood of the Son of God [do you know what this means?] will bring from the books of Daniel and Revelation truth that is inspired by the Holy Spirit. They will start into action forces that cannot be repressed. The lips of children will be opened to proclaim the mysteries that have been hidden from the minds of [older] men. “We are standing on the threshold of great and solemn events. Many of the prophecies are about to be fulfilled in quick succession. Every element of power is about to be set to work. Past history will be repeated [know which history this is]; old controversies will arise to new life, and peril will beset God’s people [not the whole world and or the churches] on every side. Intensity is taking hold of the human family.
It is permeating everything upon the earth. “Study Revelation in connection with Daniel, for history will be repeated. We, with all our religious advantages [through knowledge of the third angel’s message under the luxury of temporary religious liberty], ought to know far more today than we do know. “Angels desire to look into the truths that are revealed to the people who with contrite hearts are searching the Word and praying for greater lengths and breadths and depths and heights of the knowledge which He alone can give. [What have you been “searching” the internet for, and what have you been praying for—that the covid-19 crisis comes to and end only?] “As we near the close of this world’s history, the prophecies relating to the last days [not the conspiracy theories on the web] especially demand our study.
The last book of the New Testament is full of truth [in the thick of all the half-truths and outright lying pandemic taking place in the highest echelons of human society!] that we need to understand. Satan has blinded the minds of many so that they have been glad of any excuse for not making the Revelation their study. “But Christ through His servant John has here declared what shall be in the last days; and He says, ‘Blessed is he that readeth , and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.’ [Rev. 1: 3, KJV]. “The books of Daniel and Revelation should be bound together and published. A few explanation of certain portions might be added, but I am not sure that these would be needed. . . . It was my idea that to have the two books bound together, Revelation following Daniel, as giving fuller light on the subjects dealt with in Daniel. The object is to bring these books together, showing that they both relate to the same subjects. A message that will arouse the churches [the Christian mainstream] is to be proclaimed . . . . Our own people need to have the light placed before them in clearer lines.
“The vision that Christ presented to John, presenting the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus [Rev. 14: 12], is to be definitely proclaimed to all nations, people, and tongues [languages, dialects]. The churches, represented by Babylon, are represented as having fallen from their spiritual state to become a persecuting power against those who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus Christ [Rev. 12: 17; 19: 10; 14: 12]. To John this persecuting power is represented as having horns like a lamb, bust as speaking like a dragon [See Rev. 13: 11, 12, 14-17].
Modern-day Spiritualism. “As we near the close of time, there will be greater and still greater external parade of heathen power; heathen deities will manifest their signal power, and will establish themselves before the cities of the world; and this delineation [representation, portrayal, as in describing by lines, sketches, etc.] has already begun to be fulfilled. By a variety of images the Lord Jesus represented to John the wicked character and seductive influence of those who have been distinguished for their persecution of God’s people [NOTE: the combined powers to seduce and persecute is deadly and definitely ungodly! Jesus said: “By their fruits ye shall know them.”]
“All need wisdom [see Rev. 13: 18; James 1: 5; 3: 17; Prov. 1: 7; Rev. 14: 6, 7] to carefully search out the mystery of iniquity [2 Thess.2: 3, 4, 7-9] that figures so largely in the winding up of this earth’s history . . . . In the very time in which we live, the Lord has called His people and has given them a message to bear. He has called them to expose the wickedness of the man of sin who has made the Sunday law a distinctive power, who has thought to change times and laws [Dan. 7: 25 26], and to oppress the people of God who stand firmly to honor Him by keeping the only true Sabbath, the Sabbath of creation, as holy unto the Lord.
“The perils of the last days are upon us, and in our work [not only by evangelists, ministers, pastors, or lay Bible workers but by all who receive the message], we are to warn [not the ‘prosperity gospel,’ the ‘love-only, believe-only’ peace-and-safety messages] the people of the danger they are in. “Let not the solemn scenes which prophecy has revealed be left untouched [This is what this writer has been humbly striving to do from the beginning]. If our people were half-awake, if they realized the nearness of the events portrayed in the Revelation, a reformation [not merely “revivals”] would be wrought in our churches, and many more would believe the message. “We have no time to lose; God calls upon us to watch for souls as they that must give an account. [We are ‘our brother’s keeper.’] Advance new principles, and crowd in the clear-cut truth. It will be as a sword cutting both ways. [See Heb. 4: 12, 13].
But be not too ready to take a controversial attitude. There will be times when we must stand still and see the salvation of God. Let Daniel speak, let the Revelation speak, and tell what is truth. But whatever phase of the subject is presented, uplift Jesus as the Center of all hope, ‘the Root and Offspring of David, and the bright and morning Star.’ [Rev. 22:16].”
The real and final crisis the nation is facing
As terrible and devastating this multi-faceted Covid-19 crisis is, on top of all the rest of the alleged natural disasters caused by global-warming, the real enemy of the people and the nation is not a virus or the fear of “sharia law” that was being promoted by large segments of Christianity, or the more recent “Deep State” conspiracy being currently weaponized politically or even a rehashed version of the “New World Order” of the 1990s but the final loss of our religious liberties, currently still guaranteed by the First Amendment, but not in the way and for the reason the Establishment Clause is being currently invoked against the mitigation orders of using masks, social distancing, specifically the shuttering of church gatherings alongside with others.
“Our land is in jeopardy. The time is drawing on when its legislators shall so abjure the principles of Protestantism as to give countenance to the Romish apostasy. The people for whom God has so marvelously wrought, strengthening them to throw off the galling yoke of popery, will by a national act give vigor to the corrupt faith of Rome, and thus arouse the tyranny which only waits for a touch to start again into cruelty and despotism. With rapid steps we are already approaching this period. When Protestant churches shall seek the support of the secular power, thus following the example of the apostate church, for opposing which their ancestors endure the fiercest persecution, then there will be a national apostasy which will end only in national ruin.” – Ibid, Great Controversy, 1884 ed., p, 410.
