The Fires of Fanaticism: Feelings, Impressions, and Imaginations
“All we like sheep have gone astray.” Isa. 53: 6. “For all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God.” Rom. 3: 23. If bad judgment often driven by “the love of money,” which Paul says “is the root of all evil,” causing temporary loss of common sense and deafness to wise counsel, are hurting anyone now with their painful consequences, an English proverb may help you wake up from these nightmarish experience, tired but hopeful. “He who never makes mistakes never makes anything.” Even well-meaning persons make grievous mistakes. True love overlooks many mistakes but does not excuse them. Making concessions of one’s rights for the sake of peace is not the same as compromising principles in order to purchase peace. Jesus never compromised.

The Three Angels’ Messages Identifies the Remnant Church
Wikipedia describes Adventism as “a branch of Protestantism with origins in the 19thcentury American Protestant revival known as the Second Advent Awakening. The name refers to the belief in the imminent Second Coming (or ‘Second Advent’) of Jesus Christ. William Miller started the Advent movement in the 1830s. His followers became known as the Millerites.”
Cited are at least eleven Adventist denominations, including the dominant Seventh-day Adventist Church. The “Other minor Adventist groups” are:
TIME-SETTING AFTER 1844 HAVE, AND WILL FAIL IN PREDICTIONS (Continued)
Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils. 1 Timothy 4:1, K.J.V.
Our minds and senses are daily being bombarded with a wild onslaught of unprecedented distractions, attractions, deceptions, and temptations which were prophesied to take place in “the latter days” which include false prophecies and its fanciful interpretations relating to time and specific individuals as being the Antichrist, etc.
Doubtless, this is the generation that the prophets were shown and wrote about living in the closing hours of earth’s probation since after 1844, the beginning of the investigative judgment in heaven. Yet how few in the Christian world and even among the remnant, at this late hour really understand its awful nature and are rearranging priorities around it; or worse, even want hear about it. They ridicule the humble messengers who raise these specific warning as fanatics and trouble-makers. Such was the attitude towards God’s prophets and messengers of yore:
TIME-SETTING AFTER 1844 HAVE, AND WILL FAIL IN PREDICTIONS (Continued)
Jesus said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in His own power. Acts 1: 7, K.J.V.
“The times and seasons God has put into His own power. And why has not God given is this knowledge? —Because we would not make a right use of it if He did. A condition of things would result from this knowledge among our people that would greatly retard the work of God in preparing a people to stand in the great day to come . . . . Jesus told His disciples to ‘watch,’but not for definite time. His followers are to be in the position of those who are listening to the orders of their Captain: they are to watch, wait, pray, and work, as they approach the coming of their Lord; but no one will be able to predict just when that time will come; for ‘of that day and hour knoweth no man.’ You will not be able to say that He will come in one, two, or five years, neither are you to put off His coming by stating that it may not be for ten or twenty years. . . . We are not to know the definite time either for the outpouring of the Holy Spirit [in the latter rain—a precious subject we discussed in a series not too long ago] or for the coming of the Lord.” – Ellen G. White, Evangelism, p. 221.
Get ready! Get ready! Get ready! “Prepare to meet thy God, O Israel! Amos 4: 12. Jesus said: “Be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” Matt. 24: 44. Paul declared: “But of the times and the seasons, brethren, ye have no need that I write unto you. For yourselves know perfectly thatthe day of the Lord [the real ’Lord’s Day’—not Sunday!] so cometh as a thief in the night. For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them, as travail upon a woman with child; and they shall not escape. But ye, brethren, are not in darkness, that that day should overtake you as thief.” 1 Thessalonians 5: 1-4.
ATHEISTICAL FRANCE’S WAR AGAINST THE TWO WITNESSES – Part IV
And I will give power unto My two witnesses, and they shall prophecy a thousand two hundred and threescore days, clothed with sackcloth. Rev. 11: 3, K.J.V.
We are counseled: “Let all who would understand the meaning of these things read the eleventh chapter of Revelation. Read every verse, and learn the things that are yet to take place in the cities. Read also the scenes portrayed in the eighteenth chapter of the same book.” – E. G. White, Last Day Events, p. 95 (15MR 18, May 10, 1906).
France’s Place in Prophecy. The beast of chapter 13 and 17 had ten horns each. Francewas: one of the ten toes of the great image shown to Nebuchadnezzar in a dream recorded in Daniel 2; one of the ten parts of the Western Roman Empire; one of the ten horns of the fourth terrible and exceedingly strong beast of Daniel 7: 7; one of the ten horns of the red dragon of Rev. 12: 3. In verse 9 this dragon is identified as “that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan.” “The dragon is said to be Satan; he it was that moved upon Herod to put the Savior to death. But the chief agent of Satan in making war upon Christ and His people during the first centuries of the Christian Era, was the Roman empire, in which paganism was the prevailing religion. Thus while the dragon, primarily, represents Satan, it is, in a secondary sense, a symbol of pagan Rome.”- Ibid, Great Controversy (1911), p. 438.
THE TWO WITNESSES OF REVELATION CHAPTER 11- Part II
This writer’s attention was called by Professor Manuel Fauni to last week’s FMM (January 23 issue) wherein I wrote in the last sentence: “The seven last plagues (Rev. 15: 1, 8, 16: 1-21), are also called ‘the four winds of the earth,’ Rev. 7: 1-3, ‘the wine of the wrath of God unmingled with mercy,’ (Rev. 14: 9) ‘the wrath of Him who sits on the throne and of the Lamb ’(Rev. 6: 16, 17).”
Thank you. I stand corrected as it was prematurely added to the mix. Following sacred chronology of yet-unfulfilled prophecy no longer fixed by prophetic time after 1844, the 7 last plagues are God’s “righteous judgments” upon the finally impenitent (Rev. 15: 4), administered by the 7 angels John saw coming out of the temple of God in heaven. (chs. 15: 5, 5, 6: 16: 1).
Diet and exercise, both requiring work, are the two major factors vital to staying healthy and fit as long as mortally possible—physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually, and everything else in the eight (some say, ten) laws of health outside of DNA, which, basically, is beyond our control. However, wiseGEEK in the internet says, “Many people are used to thinking of DNA as unchanging programming that governs all the body’s responses for the rest of a person’s life. In essence, certain things about our DNA are unlikely to change, ever. There are a number of outside things that could result in minor change, however. As you age, for instance, you may note DNA expression changes in a variety of ways. Hair gets gray, skin gets wrinkly, and diseases are common.”
We take a necessary parenthetical break, as it were, from our ongoing series on classes of animals in order to greet and wish all a miraculouslypeaceful New Year!
Why miraculous? and peace instead of Happy? Because end-time prophecy, which cannot be altered “in one jot or tittle” by any false prophet or any church, graphically unfolding before our very eyes by the steady deterioration on every level and dimension of human society, endeavor, and environment, ominously bode darker and greater troublous times ahead. The time of the final test of the churches and the world is drawing nearer every day, every year. “Now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now is our salvation nearer than we first believed.” Rom. 11-14.
