THE BURDEN OF THE LAST MESSAGE STILL MINGLED WITH MERCY TO THE WORLD
“All His commandments are sure. They stand fast forever and ever and are done in truth and uprightness.” Psalms 111:7,8 KJV.
When the laws of man, themselves blatant breakers of God’s law or even lawless or “a law to themselves,” enact laws and enforce them, the “fruit” or the result is only as good, reliable, truthful, lasting and righteous as the “trees” that bore them or from where they were plucked or fell from.
As the saying goes “the apple does not fall far from its tree.” You’ll be able to trace it back from its source.
“Adam and Eve at their creation, had a knowledge of the law of God. It was printed in their hearts, and they understood its claims upon them. The law of God existed BEFORE man was created. It was adapted to the CONDITION of holy beings; even angels were governed by it. After the fall the PRINCIPLES of righteousness were UNCHANGED. Nothing was taken from the law; not one of its holy precepts COULD BE improved. As it has existed from the beginning, so will it continue to exist throughout the ceaseless ages of ETERNITY.
What is our duty as truly born-again children of God having the law written in our hearts and minds, if this is truly the case?
“Our duty to obey the law is to be the BURDEN of our last message of mercy to the world. God’s law is not a new [or novel] thing.
“It is not holiness created, but holiness made known. It is [God’s] CODE OF PRINCIPLES expressing mercy, goodness, and love. It presents to FALLEN HUMANITY the character of God, and states plainly the whole duty of man [to God and his fellowmen, Eccl 12:13,14].” SD 38.
Remember this: God’s law is not holiness created but holiness made known! No man-made or church-made laws can ever come close nor is any other needed “for the law of the Lord is perfect,” as perfect as the Lawgiver Himself! NMF
