Are We Preparing for the Latter Rain?– Part XXVII

 A Praying People

Enoch, the seventh patriarch from Adam who walked with God for three centuries, and Elijah the prophet whom God sent to sternly rebuke Israel at the height of their apostasy, are types of the character of the work, message, and people who will be translated in the last days. Of the latter the apostle wrote: “Elias [Greek for Elijah] was a man subject to like passions as we are [human frailties], and he prayed earnestly that it might not rain: and it rained not on the earth by the space of three years and six months. And he prayed again, and the heaven gave rain, and the earth brought for her fruit.” James 5: 17, 18, K.J.V.

E. G. White says: “We should pray as earnestly for the descent of the Holy Spirit as the disciples prayed on the day of Pentecost. If they needed it at that time, we need it more today . . .

Are We Preparing for the Latter Rain?– Part XXVI

A Loving People (continued)

If ye keep My commandments, ye shall abide in My love, even as I have kept My Father’s commandments, and abide in His love. John15:10, K.J.V.

A truly loving people, according to the Bible are those who abide in God’s love because they keep (do or obey) His commandments. Abide here is the Greek meno, “to stay in a given place, state, relation or expectancy):–continue, dwell, endure, be present, remain, stand tarry (for), thine own.” – Strong’s Greek Dictionary.

It is possible to love family, fellowmen, and country and even die for them without loving God but it is impossible to love God without loving as Christ loves all sinners.

Are We Preparing for the Latter Rain?– Part XXV

A Loving People

The New Commandment of the Third Angel’s Message.  Jesus said, “This is My commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.  Ye are My friends, if you do whatsoever I command you.” John 15: 12-14, K.J.V.

Christ, through John, author of the gospel bearing his name, the three small epistles, and the last book of the Bible, wrote to the churches:  “Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye have heard from the beginning. . . .Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in Him and in you; because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.  He that saith he is in the light andhateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.” 1 John 2: 7- 9.  John continues, “He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer and ye know no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.” 1 John 3: 14, 15. “If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 1 John 4: 20.

A Victorious, Overcoming People (continued)

More and more conscientious people everywhere are alarmed at the moral decadence and self-indulgence threatening the very of core of human society of this generation of boasted advancement in education, technology, and enlightenment. How soon we forget the revolting results of the French Revolution where Reason was worshipped over Deity, Jesus was called a “wretch,” and the Bible burned publicly.

Both human history and Bible prophecy testify how earth’s greatest kingdoms and empires crumbled away—when, at the height of earthly power and prosperity of their time, they succumbed to gross idolatry, unbridled self-indulgence, and apostasy. Thus they fell, starting with the first atheistic empire, Egypt, Neo-Babylonia, Medo-Persia, Greece (Macedonian), and the Roman pagan empire. Revelation 13’s predictive prophecy of divine foreknowledge clearly reveals that America, “the greatest and most favored nation upon the earth,” will not return to its original nature as refuge for the persecuted and oppressed that it once was. However, the coming final war “will not be between rival churches contending for the supremacy,” “but between the religion of the Bible and the religion of fable and tradition.” It will be “the last great conflict of the controversy between truth and error.” We are now entering into it.

However, until national apostasy results in national ruin, and rapidly becomes global for “the the final events will be rapid ones,” for now, just as it was in the time of Israel’s national apostasy: “Elijah had thought that he alone in Israel was a worshipper of the true God. But He who reads the

THE LATTER RAIN EMPOWERS THE FINAL LOUD CRY

Since my earliest quest back in the early 1990s for a better comprehension of the subjects classed as “present, sealing truth,” the subjects of the Holy Spirit, the Latter Rain, and the Loud Cry, etc., fascinated me.  Adopting William Miller’s method (GC 319-20), I turned to my Strong’s Comprehensive Concordance and prayerfully studied (and continue) all the direct as well as collateral passages in the Bible referring to each.

In His time, God led me to the works of men possessing deep love and understanding for the same subjects, based on the Bible and the writings of Ellen G. White. Two of my favorite resources are The Coming of the Comforter (1949 ed.) by LeRoy E. Froom, and Gordon Collier’s lectures , titled

Are We Preparing for the Latter Rain?– Part XXIII

A Victorious, Overcoming People

See Revelation chapters 2 and 3. There were many Christian churches raised in Asia by the apostles during the first century of the Christian era (C.E.) empowered by Pentecost, the Former Rain. Divine wisdom chose seven of these torepresent the seven periods of the Church during the remainder of time till the close of earth’s probation. In each particular period, salvation was assured only to those who overcome in Christ.

“The names of the seven churches are symbolic of the church in different periods of the Christian era. The number seven indicates completeness, and is symbolic of the fact the messages extend to the end of time, while the symbols used reveal the condition of the churchat different periods in

The burden is on media that has the duty to rake up tightly kept secrets of government. The state will never make them public even if there is a law that requires it to be.

Media is considered as classical adversary of the State precisely because it cannot be conned into cooperating with the government. [really?]

Therefore, law or no law, media should find a way of getting the information denied or hidden from the public. If the principal objective of the Catholic Church, in fact of all Christian churches, is to promote spiritual well being, it should not meddle in the affairs of the state, if only to comply with the Constitutional provision that the Church and the State are separate.

The danger is if the government and the Church come to terms because freedom of information is automatically lost. Both will protect each other.

The Papacy Series- Part I

Nathaniel Fajardo

———————————————

First, What is the Papacy? – Many mistake the person of the pope as the Papacy itself, which pope, Protestants in the past have identified as either “the man of sin,” the antichrist,” or “the beast” of prophecy. More accurately, the Papacy, according to Webster’s Dictionary, Student Edition, 1976, refers to four things, namely “(1) the position or authority of the pope (2) the period during which the pope rules (3) the line of succession of popes (4) the government of the Roman Catholic Church, headed by the pope.”

The First Catholic U.S. President. – Thus, when one specific pope (or specific American President) is singled out by using unproven prophetic calculations as the one who brings about the long-anticipated U. S. –initiated National Sunday Law that shortly becomes globally enacted and enforced by all churches and governments (Revelation 13: 1-18), difficulties are encountered which clearly expose this faulty prophetic interpretation. For instance, when John F. Kennedy was elected as the 35th U.S. president, the youngest to be elected to office at the age of 43, the first Roman Catholic U.S. president, certain quarters in the Adventist community and others thought he was going to be the one to initiate the Sunday law while in office.
