PRAYING FOR THE SERIOUSLY SICK OR TERMINALLY ILL

December 9, 2019

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

PRAYING FOR THE SERIOUSLY SICK OR TERMINALLY ILL.

“The Scriptures says that ‘men ought to pray; and not to faint.’(Luke 18:1); and if ever there is a time when they feel their need of prayer, it is when strength fails and life itself seems slipping from their grasp. Often those who are in health forget the wonderful mercies continued to them day by day, year after year, and they render not tribute if praise to God for His benefits. But when sickness comes, God is remembered.

THE DIVINE POTTER MOLDS HUMAN CLAY INTO HIS IMAGE

December 4, 2019

MID-WEEK MESSAGE FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

THE DIVINE POTTER MOLDS HUMAN CLAY INTO HIS IMAGE.

Ask yourself: Is it my way or God’s way that I am following. Here’s a vital part of the sealing work: Submiting our will to God, resisting the devil and his temptations, particularly the pesky, persistent besetting sins “that so easily ensnare us” (James 4:7; Rev.3:21; 1 Cor. 15:31; Luke 9:23; Heb 12:21). – “While the human agent is devising and planning for himself something that God has withheld him from doing, he has a hard time. He complains and frets, and has still more difficulties. But when he submits as clay in the hands of the potter, then God works the man into a vessel of honor (Rom. 9:21; 1 Thess. 4:4; 2 Tim. 2:21).

Thank God for Blending Divine Nature with Human Nature Forever!

Friday Morning Manna

November 29, 2019

Thank God for Blending Divine Nature with Human Nature Forever!

And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifested in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen by angels [both evil and good], preached among the Gentiles [and the chosen people] believed on in the world, received up in glory [as a Victor over Satan, temptation, death, and the grave].”

1 Tim. 3: 16.

This Thanksgiving 2019 we should thank and praise God “with all our heart, soul, strength and mind” (Luke 10: 27) for patiently, gradually and progressively unfolding to the astonished eyes of earnest truth-seekers the great mystery of godliness that is revealed in the Creator’s incarnation! Ever after that priceless, precious, precise moment in time that no finite mind exactly knows when and how, humanity quietly and effortlessly blended with divinity for eternity!

PREP FOR LORD’S SUPPER : CONFESSION

November 27, 2019

MID-WEEK MESSAGE FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

PREP FOR LORD’S SUPPER : CONFESSION.

See 1 John 1: 9, 10. Here’s a vital preparation to qualify to receive the benefits and blessings of forgiveness, peace, joy, prosperity and eternal salvation.- The conditions for obtaining God’s mercy and forgiveness are simple, just and reasonable. We need not make long and wearisome pilgrimages, or perform painful penance (righteousness by works) to commend our souls to God or to atone for our sins. See Prov. 28:13.

The apostle says, Confess your faults one to another, pray for one another, that you may be healed. James 5:16. Confess your sins to God, who only can forgive them, and your faults to one another.

LOVE BEGETS LOVE

November 25, 2019

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

LOVE BEGETS LOVE.

Whether accepted by those to whom it is shown or even when ignored or spurned, true love does not expect, much less demand love, attention or respect in return but loves unconditionally. It is not a feeling but a living principle. Such love is only of and from God.

It is impossible for sinful man to love unconditionally for he is yet selfish, self-centered, indulging in self-pity. This love is partial, mercenary, judgmental fitful, largely physical, passionate and sensual, thus fleeting and transitory. It is blind. It is conditional. But by the biblical number of 70 years, I now humbly realize how truly blessed I am to be the unworthy object of the love of the God of love.

SUFFERING FOR CHRIST’S SAKE?

November 20, 2019

MID-WEEK MESSAGE FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

SUFFERING FOR CHRIST’S SAKE?

“If anyone suffers as a Christian, let him not be ashamed, but glorify God in this matter…Therefore let those who suffer according to the will of God, commit their souls to Him in doing good, as to a faithful Creator.” 1 Pet. 4: 16,19.

“Many who profess the name of Christ, and profess to be looking for His speedy coming, know not what it is to suffer for Christ’s sake. Their hearts are not subdued by grace, and they are not dead to self; but it often appears in various ways; and at the same time they are talking if having trials. But the  principal cause of their trials is an unsubdued heart, which make self so sensitive, that is so often crossed.

BEWARE OF COUNTERFEIT FAITH

November 13, 2019

MID-WEEK MESSAGE FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

BEWARE OF COUNTERFEIT FAITH.

“Keep back Thy servant from presumptuous sins; let them not have dominion over me. Then I shall be blameless, I shall be innocent of great transgression.” Psalms 19:13.

“Faith is in no sense allied to presumption. Only he who has true faith is secure against presumption. Faith claims God’s promises, and brings forth fruit in obedience. Presumption also claims the promises, but uses them as Satan did, to excuse transgression. Faith would have led our first parents to trust the love of God, and to obey His commands.

THE SONG THAT GOD WANTS US TO LEARN IN DARKNESS

November 11, 2019

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

THE SONG THAT GOD WANTS US TO LEARN IN DARKNESS.

“I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a New Song in my heart—praise to our God: many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.” Psalms 40: 1-3.

“In the full light of day, and in the heating of music of other voices, the caged bird will not sing the song that his master seeks to teach him. He learns a snatch of this, a trill of that, but never a separate and entire melody.
