TWO HEAVENLY AGENCIES WORKING FOR OUR SALVATION

The Two Heavenly Agencies of God vs. the Two Earthly Agencies of Satan

The God of hosts is on the side of His people on earth through the Holy Spirit, the third Person of the Godhead, and the holy angels, His ministering spirits. Let all plead that these two heavenly agencies will continue their tireless and ceaseless work every moment of the day and night for our salvation, simultaneous with the closing work of atonement and cleansing of the heavenly sanctuary by Jesus Christ, our merciful High Priest, Mediator, Advocate, and righteous Judge during this antitypical Day of Atonement.

“Solemn are the scenes connected with the closing work the atonement. Momentous are the interests involved therein. The judgment is now passing in the sanctuary above. For many years [since 1844, Dan. 8: 14] this work has been in progress. Soon—none know how soon—it will pass on to the cases of the living. In the awful presence of God our lives are to come up in review. At this time above all others it behooves every soul to heed the Savior’s admonition: ‘Take heed, watch and pray: for you do not know when the time is.’ Mark 13: 33. ‘Therefore if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.’ Rev. 3: 3, N.K.J.V.”– E.G. White, The Great Controversy, 1911, p. 490.

Biblical Numerology: NUMBER TWO – Part IV

 THE TWO ADAMS CONTRASTED

On the sixth and last day of creation week, the Creator personally hand-crafted from the dust of the ground the father and representative of the human race–a different order of created beings. As the Creator’s crowning act and masterpiece, Adam alone was made in the image and likeness of God, endowed with free moral agency for a high and noble purpose—to honor the Creator as His human counterpart.

As a free moral agent, he was given a will that is the governing power in the nature of man to intellectually, spiritually, and willingly choose to obey his Creator out of love that is greater than hope and faith.

Biblical Numerology, NUMBER TWO- Part 2

Can two walk together unless they be agreed? Amos 3: 3, N.K.J.V

“The majority are usually found on the side of error and falsehood. The fact that doctors of divinity have the world on their side does not prove them to be on the side of truth and of God. The wide gate and the broad road attracts multitudes, while the strait gate and narrow way are sought only by a few [Matt. 7: 13, 14; Luke 13: 23, 24.].”- E.G. White, Spirit of Prophecy, Vol. 4, 1884 ed., p. 214.

See Genesis 3: 1-24 on the temptation and fall of man. God’s Word plainly teaches that where eternal realities and consequences are concerned, there are only two classes, two choices, and two final rewards. This principle of opposites and absolutes by way of comparison and contrast were established from the first to the last day of creation week. After the fall, it took on eternal consequences. Adam and Eve, by their own free-will choice—not because of nature–disobeyed God, thus separating themselves from the Creator.

The Holy Spirit: do we really know Him? – Part III

It takes God’s wisdom to know His wisdom. It is through the Holy Spirit, who inspired holy men of God to speak and write the Holy Scriptures (2 Pet. 1: 21) that this wisdom is imparted to every earnest searcher who sinks the shaft of investigation deep into the mines of eternal truth—the Bible.

Are We Preparing for the Latter Rain?– Part XXXIV

A Sabbath-Keeping People

“In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” Genesis 1: 1. In the bosom of these very first words of the Bible is cradled all the other truths following: the history of creation; the fall of man and its cause, the nature of the great controversy between God and Satan; the plan of redemption prepared before the fall, and the glorious restoration of all that was lost on account of sin—both of man and the whole earth.

Because man alone, the crowning act of creation, was created in the image and likeness of the Creator, it was natural for him to joyfully keep the memorial day of God’s appointment. It was in their nature to love, adore, obey, worship, and glorify their Creator who had made a perfect world and a perfect Eden home for them before creating them. The earth was designed to be Adam’s kingdom. Genesis 1: 26, 27.

Are We Preparing for the Latter Rain?– Part XXXII

A Temperate People (continued)

Apostle Paul wrote: “Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it. And everyone who competes for the prize is temperate in all things. Now theydo it to obtain a perishable crown, but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore I run thus: not with uncertainty. Thus I fight: not as one who beats the air. But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.” 1 Corinthians 9: 24-27, N.K.J.V.

Some think temperance has only to do with (a) temperament and temper, as in temper tantrums, etc., or to (b) the Temperance Movements advocating abstinence from alcohol that began in the 1830’s known as the Prohibition Era in the U.S. (See Prohibition Timeline at About.com American History). “The first national Prohibition amendment was proposed by Henry W. Blair of New Hampshire as early as 1876 . . .

Are We Preparing for the Latter Rain?– Part XXVIII

A Working People

The wise man said, “Go to the ant thou sluggard, consider her ways and be wise.” Proverbs 6: 6 (see verses 7-11). Jesus said, “The harvest truly is great but the laborers are few.” Luke 10:2“Occupy till I come.” Luke19:13. We need to pay closer attention to what “the Lord of the harvest” meant by “harvest” and “laborer” particularly in the context of preparing for the Latter Rain. Inspiration says, “The harvest of life is character, and it is this that determines destiny, both for this life and the life to come.” (Ed 109); it is “the end of probationary time,” “the end of the world.” See parable of the wheat and tares, Matt. 13: 24-30, 37-43 and Christ’s Object Lessons, pp. 72, 75.

Study for the Month of June 2010: The Four Group Resurrections (Page 4)

3. The General Resurrection

All who have studied these truths know when the general resurrection takes place—at Christ’s glorious second coming—which is the hope of all ages starting from Adam. Enoch prophesied of the second coming way back in his time. Jude 14, 15. They will come from all places of the earth—graves, caverns, caves, dungeons, scaffolds, prison houses, etc., etc.,—-“a great multitude, which no man could number of all nations, kindred, and people, and tongues.” These are all who died in Christ, whether by faith during the Old Testament times where and when the animal sacrifices symbolized the perfect atoning sacrifice of Christ, or during the New Testament dispensation when all believed and died in faith on the complete efficacy of the actual sacrifice and blood shed at Calvary for the forgiveness and cleansing of all sin; the former shed at Calvary, the latter during His closing work as High Priest in the most holy of the heavenly sanctuary.
