OUR SALVATION & JUDGMENT IS MUCH NEARER THAN WE FIRST BECAME BELIEVERS.
“And that knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than we [first] believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put in the armor of light. Let us walk [live] honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering [feasting/partying] and wanton was, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh to fulfill the lusts thereof.” Rom. 13:11-14,KJV.
“We are living in the most solemn period of this earth’s history. The destiny of earth’s teeming multitudes is about to be decided. Our own future well-being and also the salvation of other souls depends upon the course which we NOW pursue. We need to be guided by the Spirit of God [not by our feelings nor what the majority says]. Every follower of Christ should earnestly inquire, ‘Lord, What wilt Thou have me to do?’
“We need to humble ourselves before the Lord, with fasting and prayer, and meditate upon His Word, especially upon the scenes of the JUDGMENT [taking place right now in the most holy in heaven]. We should now seek a deep and living EXPERIENCE in the things of God [not the things and wisdom of this world].
“We have not a moment to lose. EVENTS of vital importance are transpiring around us; we are on Satan’s ENCHANTED ground. SLEEP NOT, sentinels of God, the foe is lurking near, ready at any moment, should you become lax and drowsy, to spring upon you and make you his prey. Many are deceived as to their true condition before God.” Vol. 4, Spirit of Prophecy, 1884, p. 419.
As the experts scramble to get out more testing kits that are more reliable to both determine Covid-19 infection as well as antibodies to fight it, and return to “normalcy,” God is testing His people now for the “infection of sin” — the greatest ever and deadlier “virus” that has been causing unnumbered souls to perish, not merely die, since Eve and Adam fell to the close of probation. We must fear to sin far more than the Covid-19 pandemic. Don’t you think so?
Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might, not on any mortal or any other power other than God’s own. NMF
