ONE DAY AT A TIME DAILY

July 7 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

ONE DAY AT A TIME DAILY

“Hear my cry, O God: attend unto my prayer…So will I sing praise unto Thy name for ever, that I may DAILY perform my vows.”

Psalms 61: 1, 8, A.V. (Read verses 1-8 for yourself)

“Trust in Him AT ALL TIMES: ye people, pour out your heart before Him: God is a refuge for us [at all times!].”

Ps. 62:8

“How thankful I am that we have only one day to live at a time. One day to keep our souls stayed upon [God by faith], one day to watch, one day to progress in the spiritual life, and thus our day may be fruitful, precious [not wasted] days to us.

“We have a soldier’s duty to perform, victories to gain, for we must not be ignorant of Satan’s devices. We must pray and then watch lest Satan shall steal upon us and make us forget our need for prayer, our need of VIGILANCE and ‘watching thereunto.’”

In the Christian warfare [which is daily], unless there is a sharp eye in the adversary, we shall be led into Satan’s snare [like Eve and the apostate, spiritually fallen churches].

“Our SECURITY depends on the state of our HEART. God help us to TAKE HEED to ourselves or we shall CERTAINLY lose heaven.

“Little departures from the right, little indulgences, seem a TRIFLING thing at present, but Satan will lead us in a track that will separate us from righteousness and from God. We want not our ways but God’s ways. We want to STRIVE with all our powers of being ‘to bruise Satan under our feet’ and be sure that we are right with God, and that we have a clear title to our immortal inheritance.”

EGW. Letter 81, Jan 19, 1887/TDG 27

Remember this: justification is our title to heaven; sanctification is our fitness for heaven: the seal of God in our foreheads is our passport to heaven. Have a fruitful day today!   NMF
