ANGELS ARE OUR COMPANIONS ASSIGNED ‘TO KEEP US IN ALL OUR WAYS’
“For unto the angels has He not put in subjection the world to come.”
Heb. 2: 5
“God has not put the world to come in subjection to the angels. Because of SIN man fell very low in the scale of values. When Christ identified Himself with humanity and became a man, a NEW DIGNITY became
ours. We are now closely united with God in a fellowship that is EVEN CLOSER than that which the angels know. In this NEW RELATIONSHIP God did not put man in subjection to angels! We deal directly with Christ without any [angelic] intermediary.” p. 90.
“Angels are not commissioned to preach the gospel, nor have they been permitted to suffer and die for their faith. They have never faced imprisonment or torture, nor have they known the surpassing joy of being lifted out of the mire of SIN into the kingdom of God.
“Conversion is a closed book to them as far as we can judge; the most profound and sacred of life’s experiences, as we know them here, are denied them. They have, at present, WISDOM far beyond that of man; but in some respects man is even more SUPERIOR to them.
“While angels have COMPENSATING powers and opportunities of which we know nothing, POTENTIALLY man is destined to a HIGHER PLACE in the plan of God than the angels. Without pursuing this subject any further, we merely call attention to the fact that angels are ‘ministering spirits’ [they are made of spirit, not of flesh, blood and bones], servants, while WE are children and heirs. The heir, as long as he is a child, is under the jurisdiction of the servants. When he grows older, he becomes lord of the house. Heb. 1:14; Gal. 4:1, 2.” – M.L. If only the churches taught such sublime truths, how much so-called Christians, particularly the politically-militant, the bigoted, double-standard yet self-righteous and demanding of their so-calls “rights” would speak and act differently today! They would remember that they are supposed to be spiritual “children-heirs” yet under the jurisdiction of the angelic servants, the “ministering spirits” that make up the “heavenly host” under the command of the Archangel, Jesus, the Commander-in-Chief of heaven’s army. Think on these things, NMF
