THE NATURE OF THE PREP CLEANSING WORK ON EARTH.
“Having therefore these promises dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves of all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” 2 Cor. 7:1.
The testimony of Jesus says: “Again and again I have been shown that God is trying to lead us back, step by step, to His original design—that man should subsist upon the natural products of the earth.”
“Vegetables, fruits and grains should compose our diet. Not an ounce of flesh meat should enter our stomachs. The eating of flesh is unnatural. We are to return to God’s original purpose in the creation of man.”
“Among those who are waiting [and preparing] for the coming of the Lord, meat-eating will eventually be done away; flesh will cease to form a part of their diet.”
“Greater reforms should be seen among the people who claim to be looking for the second appearing of Christ. Health reform is to do among our people a work which it has not yet done.
There are those who ought to be awake to the danger of meat(flesh)-eating, who are still eating the flesh of animals, thus endangering the physical, mental and spiritual health. Many who are now HALF-CONVERTED on the question of meat-eating will go from God’s people to walk no more with them.”
“If ever there was a time when the diet should be of the most simple kind, it is NOW. Meat should not be placed before our children. It’s influence is to excite the lower passions and have a tendency to deaden the moral powers.”- Counsels on Diet & Food, pp. 380, 382, 389, 399.
God’s wise requirements for our own good are simple and easy. He said, My yoke is easy and My burden is light.” Don’t add or take away from the “simplicity of the gospel.” All the added intricacies only serve to confuse, discourage and distract from the core principle of diet and health reform. Such are Satan’s counterfeits for these last days. Pray for discernment! NMF
