The Holy Spirit: do we really know Him? – Part IV

“The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him. The spirit of wisdom and [the spirit of] understanding, the spirit of counsel and [the spirit of] might, the spirit of knowledge and the [spirit of] fear of the Lord. His delight is in the fear of the Lord, and He shall not judge by the sight of His eyes, nor decide by the hearing of His ears.” Isaiah 11: 2, 3, N.K.J.V.

The Holy Spirit: do we really know Him? – Part III

It takes God’s wisdom to know His wisdom. It is through the Holy Spirit, who inspired holy men of God to speak and write the Holy Scriptures (2 Pet. 1: 21) that this wisdom is imparted to every earnest searcher who sinks the shaft of investigation deep into the mines of eternal truth—the Bible.

Are We Preparing for the Latter Rain?– Part XXXV

A Sabbath-Keeping People (continued)

“THOU SHALT HAVE NO OTHER GODS BEFORE ME.” Exo. 20: 3; Deut. 5: 7. This is the first commandment of God’s law that is as glorious, eternal, and unchanging as its Author. “Jehovah, the eternal, self-existent One, himself the source and sustainer of all, is alone entitled to supreme reverence and worship. Man is forbidden to give any other object the first place in his affections or service. Whatever we cherish that tends to lessen our love for God or to interfere with service due Him, of that we do make a god.” – E. G. White, Patriarchs & Prophets, p. 35.
