THE PRESENT TRUTH OF REVIVAL & REFORMATION

March 4, 2020
MID-WEEK MESSAGE FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

THE PRESENT TRUTH OF REVIVAL & REFORMATION

“Therefore I will not be negligent to remind you always of those things, though you know them, and are established in the present truth.” 2 Pet. 4:12.

“We are in the great [anti-typical] day of atonement, when our sins are, by confession and repentance, to go beforehand to judgment [Dan. 8:14; Eccl.12:13,14].

God does not now accept a tame, spiritless testimony from His ministers. Such a testimony would not be present truth. His message for this time must be ‘meat in due season’ [Luke 12:42;2 Tim. 4:2-4] to feed the church of God. . . We must no longer remain on enchanted ground.

The Waiting, Watching and Working saints of God in the last days!

February 19 2020

MID-WEEK MESSAGE FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

The Waiting, Watching and Working saints of God in the last days!

These are those who can read and prepare for the real future, as only revealed “unto the law and testimony”(Isa. 8:20).

Notice:  “Everything in the world is in agitation. The signs of the times are ominous. Coming events cast their shadow before. The Spirit of God is withdrawing from the earth, and calamity follows by land and sea. There are tempests, earthquakes, floods, murders of every grade. Who can read the future? Where is security? There is assurance in NOTHING that is human or earthly.

FOR THE FIRST MONDAY 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

FOR THE FIRST MONDAY 2020.

“Create In me a clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.” Ps. 51:10.

– “Another year opens its fair unwritten pages before you. The recording angel is ready to write. Your course of action will determine what shall be traced by him. You may make your future life good or evil; and this will determine for you whether the year upon which you have entered will be to you a happy new year.

LOVE BEGETS LOVE

November 25, 2019

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

LOVE BEGETS LOVE.

Whether accepted by those to whom it is shown or even when ignored or spurned, true love does not expect, much less demand love, attention or respect in return but loves unconditionally. It is not a feeling but a living principle. Such love is only of and from God.

It is impossible for sinful man to love unconditionally for he is yet selfish, self-centered, indulging in self-pity. This love is partial, mercenary, judgmental fitful, largely physical, passionate and sensual, thus fleeting and transitory. It is blind. It is conditional. But by the biblical number of 70 years, I now humbly realize how truly blessed I am to be the unworthy object of the love of the God of love.

THE SONG THAT GOD WANTS US TO LEARN IN DARKNESS

November 11, 2019

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

THE SONG THAT GOD WANTS US TO LEARN IN DARKNESS.

“I waited patiently for the Lord; and He inclined to me, and heard my cry. He also brought me up out of a horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my steps. He has put a New Song in my heart—praise to our God: many will see it and fear, and will trust in the Lord.” Psalms 40: 1-3.

“In the full light of day, and in the heating of music of other voices, the caged bird will not sing the song that his master seeks to teach him. He learns a snatch of this, a trill of that, but never a separate and entire melody.

Beginning with ME

September 30, 2019

QUOTE FOR THE WEEK FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

“Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against God, bringing into captivity in the obedience to Christ.” 2 Cor. 10: 5.

Before it was an act, whether spoken or written, it was first a thought spawned in the womb of the mind. Words and actions are windows into the mind, providing a sneak peek as it were, into the current character of the person, beginning with ME.

Burdens that Only Christ can Remove

September 2, 2019

QUOTE FOR THE WEEK FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

“Come unto Me all ye that labor and are heavy-laden, and I will you rest. Take My yoke upon you and learn of Me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and you shall find rest unto your souls.” Matt. 28: 11-30.

Whether we know it or not or are in denial, all are weary and heavy-laden— burdens that only Christ can remove. The heaviest burden we bear we bear is the burden of sin. If we were left to bear this burden, it would crush us. God became a man without ceasing to be God in the mystery of the incarnation.

Mysteries Revealed, Mysteries Concealed: To Whom and Why?

Mysteries Revealed, Mysteries Concealed: To Whom and Why?

See Luke 8: 4-15. After giving the parable of the Sower to “a great multitude coming from every city,” His first twelve disciples later asked Jesus, “What does this parable mean?”

Note quickly this unfortunate unchanging disparity: all heard the same message from the same Speaker at the same place and time but as the parable verily illustrated, only a very few true disciples inquired further. The great majority of that great multitude, comprising the three of the four kinds of soil illustrated in the parable, did not. Christ’s reply echoed what the gospel prophet declared centuries earlier. It clearly shows that the mysteries of the gospel are declared by the prophets to all, to whom they are revealed even while the same will remain concealed to others and why.
