THE FOURTH BEAST AND ITS TEN HORN/KINGDOMS

October 26, 2020

FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:

THE FOURTH BEAST AND ITS TEN HORN/KINGDOMS

“The fourth beast shall be the be fourth kingdom upon earth.” Dan. 7:23. “The ten horns out of this kingdom are ten kings that shall arise.” Verse 24.

The Great Roman Empire split up into 10 smaller kingdoms between the years 351 and 476 A.D. Hereunder are their ancient and modern names, which all recognize:

1. Alemanni- Germany. 2. Franks- France. 3. Anglo-Saxons- England. 4. Burgundians- Switzerland. 5. Visigoths- Spain. 6. Suevi- Portugal. 7. Lombards- Italy. 8. Heruli. 9. Vandals. 10. Ostrogoths.
NOTE:  The last three kingdoms were the original Arian nations and have no modern names because, as prophesied, they would be “uprooted” so that that the “little horn” power “coming up among them” would become the papal power.

“This prophecy [above] is so plain, and the explanation so natural and easy to understand, that all commentators, both Protestants and Catholic, fully agree on it. (See Sir Isaac Newton’s ‘Observations on the Prophecies,’ pp. 157-159; Bishop Thomas Newton, ‘Dissertations in the Prophecies,’ pp. 201-221; Joseph Tanner on ‘Daniel and the Revelation,’ pp. 165-174: Martin Luther’s ‘Introduction,’ pp. 32,33, Frederikshald, 1853.)

“The Douay, or Catholic, Version of the Bible has the following notes in Dan.7: 3, 7, 8: ‘Four Great Beasts.’ Viz., the Chaldean, Persian, Grecian, and Roman empires.’ ‘Ten Horns. That is, ten kingdoms (As Apoc. 1712,) among which the empire of the fourth beast shall be parceled.’ ‘Another Little Horn. This is commonly understood of Antichrist.’ (Catholic Bible).

“In regard to the ten kingdoms, Sir Isaac Newton says: ‘Whatever was their number afterwards, they are still called the Ten Kings from their first number.’”- ‘Daniel and the Apocalypse,’ p.187, first printed 1733; reprinted, London: 1922.” – Edwardson, Facts of Faith, 1943, p. 35.

We’re in the end-time prophetic homestretch now. Understanding the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation were never more urgent than at this very time! Set your hearts, minds, and homes in order, is God’s order at this time for His people! Bless all, NMF

WHAT IS THE TRUE INTERPRETATION OF REVELATION 16: 12-16? (The Threefold Union in the Battle of Armageddon (Continued)

French poet Charles Baudelaire once said that “the greatest trick the devil pulled was fooling the world into believing that he doesn’t exist.”  Ellen G. White revealed back in 1884 that this deception is indeed one of the most successful agencies and heresies of the great deceiver: “Another subtle and mischievous error is the fast-spreading belief that Satan has no existence as personal being; that the name is used in Scripture merely to represent men’s evil thoughts and desires.” (Spirit of Prophecy, Vol. 4, p. 348).

Again: “The position that it is of no consequence what men believe is one of Satan’s most successful deceptions.  He knows that the truth, received in the love of it, sanctifies the soul of the receiver [John 17:17]; therefore he is constantly seeking to substitute false theories, fables, another gospel [1 Tim. 1: 4; 4: 7; 2 Tim. 4: 4; Titus 1: 14; 2 Pet. 1: 16; 2 Cor. 11: 4]. . . .The discord and division which exist among the churches of Christendom are in a great measure due to the prevailing custom of wresting [twisting] the Scriptures to support a favorite theory. Instead of carefully studying God’s word with humility of heart to obtain a knowledge of His will, many seek only to discover something odd or original. . . . Whenever the study of the Scriptures is entered upon without a prayerful, humble, teachable spirit, the plainest as well as the most difficult passages will be wrested from their true meaning . . .  The word of God is plain to all who study it with a prayerful heart. “Light [of truth] is sown for the righteous.’ Psalm 97: 11. And no church can advance in holiness unless its members are earnestly seeking for truth as for hid treasure [Prov. 2: 4; Matt. 13: 44].”- Ibid, Maranatha, p. 132.
