Are We Preparing for the Latter Rain?– Part XXV

A Loving People

The New Commandment of the Third Angel’s Message.  Jesus said, “This is My commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you. Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.  Ye are My friends, if you do whatsoever I command you.” John 15: 12-14, K.J.V.

Christ, through John, author of the gospel bearing his name, the three small epistles, and the last book of the Bible, wrote to the churches:  “Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye have heard from the beginning. . . .Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in Him and in you; because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth.  He that saith he is in the light andhateth his brother, is in darkness even until now.” 1 John 2: 7- 9.  John continues, “He that loveth not his brother abideth in death. Whosoever hateth his brother is a murderer and ye know no murderer hath eternal life abiding in him.” 1 John 3: 14, 15. “If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? 1 John 4: 20.

Are We Preparing for the Latter Rain?– Part XXIV
A Victorious, Overcoming People (continued)

More and more conscientious people everywhere are alarmed at the moral decadence and self-indulgence threatening the very of core of human society of this generation of boasted advancement in education, technology, and enlightenment. How soon we forget the revolting results of the French Revolution where Reason was worshipped over Deity, Jesus was called a “wretch,” and the Bible burned publicly.

Both human history and Bible prophecy testify how earth’s greatest kingdoms and empires crumbled away—when, at the height of earthly power and prosperity of their time, they succumbed to gross idolatry, unbridled self-indulgence, and apostasy. Thus they fell, starting with the first atheistic empire, Egypt, Neo-Babylonia, Medo-Persia, Greece (Macedonian), and the Roman pagan empire. Revelation 13’s predictive prophecy of divine foreknowledge clearly reveals that America, “the greatest and most favored nation upon the earth,” will not return to its original nature as refuge for the persecuted and oppressed that it once was. However, the coming final war “will not be between rival churches contending for the supremacy,” “but between the religion of the Bible and the religion of fable and tradition.” It will be “the last great conflict of the controversy between truth and error.” We are now entering into it.

However, until national apostasy results in national ruin, and rapidly becomes global for “the the final events will be rapid ones,” for now, just as it was in the time of Israel’s national apostasy: “Elijah had thought that he alone in Israel was a worshipper of the true God. But He who reads the

The burden is on media that has the duty to rake up tightly kept secrets of government. The state will never make them public even if there is a law that requires it to be.

Media is considered as classical adversary of the State precisely because it cannot be conned into cooperating with the government. [really?]

Therefore, law or no law, media should find a way of getting the information denied or hidden from the public. If the principal objective of the Catholic Church, in fact of all Christian churches, is to promote spiritual well being, it should not meddle in the affairs of the state, if only to comply with the Constitutional provision that the Church and the State are separate.

The danger is if the government and the Church come to terms because freedom of information is automatically lost. Both will protect each other.

The Papacy Series- Part I

———————————————

First, What is the Papacy? – Many mistake the person of the pope as the Papacy itself, which pope, Protestants in the past have identified as either “the man of sin,” the antichrist,” or “the beast” of prophecy. More accurately, the Papacy, according to Webster’s Dictionary, Student Edition, 1976, refers to four things, namely “(1) the position or authority of the pope (2) the period during which the pope rules (3) the line of succession of popes (4) the government of the Roman Catholic Church, headed by the pope.”

The First Catholic U.S. President. – Thus, when one specific pope (or specific American President) is singled out by using unproven prophetic calculations as the one who brings about the long-anticipated U. S. –initiated National Sunday Law that shortly becomes globally enacted and enforced by all churches and governments (Revelation 13: 1-18), difficulties are encountered which clearly expose this faulty prophetic interpretation. For instance, when John F. Kennedy was elected as the 35th U.S. president, the youngest to be elected to office at the age of 43, the first Roman Catholic U.S. president, certain quarters in the Adventist community and others thought he was going to be the one to initiate the Sunday law while in office.

5. “To seal up the vision.” – Events that transpired within these 490 years, would t “seal,” or establish the entire vision of the 2,300 day-years.

6. “To anoint the most holy.”- During this time Christ would be anointed of the Holy Spirit, identifying Him as the promised Messiah after being baptized by John the Baptist. This has to be the primary application of the prophecy. It is also true that in the type, when the time came to begin the service in the earthly sanctuary, the entire sanctuary was anointed (Exo. 40:9); and when Christ entered the heavenly sanctuary to perform the work of which the earthly service was a type, the heavenly sanctuary was anointed before He began His ministry in the first apartment. Note: The heavenly sanctuary is also spoken of as the “most holy” in order to distinguish it from the earthly.

Wonderful changes were wrought in the history of the early church during the 490 years. After the angel had enumerated the events to take place during that period, he told Daniel where to locate it in the history of the world, by announcing the date of the beginning of the period:

3. The General Resurrection

All who have studied these truths know when the general resurrection takes place—at Christ’s glorious second coming—which is the hope of all ages starting from Adam. Enoch prophesied of the second coming way back in his time. Jude 14, 15. They will come from all places of the earth—graves, caverns, caves, dungeons, scaffolds, prison houses, etc., etc.,—-“a great multitude, which no man could number of all nations, kindred, and people, and tongues.” These are all who died in Christ, whether by faith during the Old Testament times where and when the animal sacrifices symbolized the perfect atoning sacrifice of Christ, or during the New Testament dispensation when all believed and died in faith on the complete efficacy of the actual sacrifice and blood shed at Calvary for the forgiveness and cleansing of all sin; the former shed at Calvary, the latter during His closing work as High Priest in the most holy of the heavenly sanctuary.

The Twenty-four Elders: Who are they?

Three men are definitely already in heaven: Enoch, Moses, and Elijah. Question: Are they perhaps part of the twenty-four elders (Rev. 4: 4, 10; 5: 5, 6, 8, 11, 14 7: 11,13; 11:16; 14: 3; 19: 4) included in the session of the investigative or pre-advent judgment began in 1844, the termination of the 2300-day prophecy of Daniel 8:14?

Uriah Smith in his Daniel and the Revelation, pp. 409-10 says this regarding the 24 elders:

“Who are these beings who surround the throne of glory? It will be observed that they are clothed in white raiment and have on their heads crowns of gold, which are tokens of both a conflict completed and a victory gained. From this we conclude that they were once participants in the Christian warfare, they once trod the earthly way with all saints; but they have been overcomers, and in advance of the great multitude of the redeemed, are wearing their victor crowns in the heavenly world. Indeed, they plainly tell us this in the song of praise which they ascribe to the Lamb [Rev. 5: 9 quoted]. . . .

1.The Special Group Resurrected with Christ

Referring to Matt. 27: 50-53, Ellen G. White, says (emphasis mine):

“When Jesus, as He hung upon the cross, cried out, ‘It is finished,’ the rocks rent, the earth shook, and some of the graves were shaken open; for when Jesus arose from the dead, and conquered death and the grave; when He walked forth from His prison house a triumphant conqueror; while the earth was reeling and shaking, and the excellent glory of heaven clustered around the sacred spot, obedient to His call, many of the righteous dead came forth as witnesses that He had risen. These favored resurrected saints came forth glorified. They were a few chosen and holy ones who had lived in every age from creation, even down to the days of Christ [4,00 years]. And while the chief priests were seeking to cover up the resurrection of Christ, God chose to bring up a company from their graves to testify that Jesus had risen, and to declare His glory.
