The most translated female non-fiction author in the history of literature, as well as the most translated American non-fiction author of either gender, Ellen G. White (see Wikipedia), wrote the following regarding Bible truth: “Truth is no truth to them who do not practice it.” “Age does not make error become truth.” “The garments of truth are often stolen to hide features of heresy.” “Vital truth is impressed upon the mind by the Holy Spirit’s power.” And, “Christ is the inexhaustible wellspring of truth.”

‘Higher criticism’ and ‘higher education’ destroy faith in God’s Word

Apostle Paul taught the early Christian church the three fundamental truths of the science of salvation of the eternal gospel from which the other glorious truths branch out from, namely, (emphasis supplied):

Biblical Numerology: NUMBER THREE – Part XVII

CHURCH CREEDS OVER CHRIST’S CREED

John chapter 17 records Christ’s valedictory prayer to the Father in heaven for all His true disciples on earth.It embodies the Prince of Peace’s Creed for His true church through all time. Its end result is “the peace that passeth understanding” “which the world cannot give.” Phil. 4: 7; John 14: 27.

Many church creeds do not harmonize with the Bible and yet are upheld as gospel truth by its adherents. Their disharmony with one another through the centuries since after the relatively short spell of the early part of the Reformation in the Old World, and their confused state since then, is the evidence in itself. In desperation they have tried every man-made effort, idea, philosophy, science, and scheme in the grandest scale possible of confederacy to achieve “lasting” unity, peace, and prosperity, hanging their plighted hope on hooks that can only break, vainly hoping for the earthly glory of Solomon’s reign or the “glory that was Rome.”

TIME-SETTING AFTER 1844 HAVE, AND WILL ALL FAIL IN TIME PREDICTIONS

And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire. And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth . . . .And the angel which I saw stand on the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven, and sware by him that liveth forever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer.” Revelation 10: 1-6, K.J.V. The mighty angel–Christ Himself. “The mighty angel who instructed John was no less a personage than Jesus Christ. Setting His right foot on the sea, and his left on the dry land, shows the part which He is actingin the closing scenes of the great controversy with Satan. The position denotes His supreme power and authority over the whole earth. The controversy has waxed stronger and more determined from age to age and will continue to do so, to the concluding scenes when the masterly working of the powers of darkness shall reach their height. Satan, united with evil men, will deceive the whole world and the churches who receive not the love of the truth [see 2 Thess. 2: 9-12, K.J.V.] But the mighty angel demands the attention. He cries with a loud voice. He is to show the power and authority of His voice to those who have united with Satan to oppose the truth.

THE THREE PERSONS OF THE GODHEAD (Continued)

The book The Great Controversy by Ellen G. White is not alone in referring to the Roman Catholic Church more succinctly as the “Roman Church” or the “Church of Rome” or the “Romish Church.” The Protestant Reformers said the same. This Monday, the 20th, the secular press also referred to it as such. The AFP reported May 20, 2015, which the TheGuardian (Nigeria) repeated the next day, saying, and we quote: (emphasis mine):

“Pope Urges Chinese Catholics’s Allegiance to Rome

“Pope Francis called Wednesday on Chinese Catholics to remain attached to the ‘rock’ on which the Church in Rome is built, in a move expected to rile Beijing. ‘Ask Mary to help Catholics in China….to live spiritually united to the rock of Peter on which the church is built,’ the pontiff said in his weekly general audience in Saint Peter’s Square.

Biblical Numerology: NUMBER THREE – Part IX

THE THREE PERSONS OF THE GODHEAD (Continued)

The closest star to our planet earth is Proxima Centauri (part of the Alpha Centauri triple system)—about 4.3 light years or roughly 25 trillion (25 million million) miles away. Beta Centauri is even farther—350 light years. Since the distance between Earth and moon is roughly a quarter of a million miles, the distance from Earth to Alpha Centauri would be about 100 million times the distance from earth to the moon. See YahooAnswers.

Now most will agree that Heaven or Paradise , the home of God and the angels, most likely is at the center of the universe is infinitely farther “somewhere out there.” If so, pray tell, how does God the Father and Jesus, the ascended Savior who, since 31 C.E. has been interceding and pleading His blood as our merciful High Priest and Mediator in the heavenly courts above in His glorified human nature that the Twelve disciples and two angels witnessed and testified to (Acts 1: 1-15)–see, yea, dwell in us and abide in our hearts? How will He “bring every” person’s “work into judgment with every secret thing, whether they be good or evil”? (Eccl. 12: 13, 14; Luke 8: 17)?

Biblical Numerology: NUMBER THREE – Part III

THE THREE PERSONS OF THE GODHEAD (Part 2)

Is it a salvationary matter to know whether the Godhead is made up three Persons?

Absolutely! First, because, “It is written.” Jesus Christ, God incarnate, (Matt. 1: 23; Rom. 8: 3; Heb. 2: 14, 16-18; 1 Tim. 3: 16] repeated this truth which He, then the unincarnated Jehovah Creator in the Old Testament, instructed the Old Testament writers. At the outset of His work and mission, after His baptism by John the Baptist, anointing of the Holy Spirit, and vocal affirmation of the Father in heaven as the promised Messiah, Jesus declared: “Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”

SUMMARY OF NUMBER TWO IN THE BIBLE – Part IX

“Can two walk together unless they be agreed?” (Amos: 3: 3)? Yes, but such a relationship is forced and coerced rather than forged by every reason other than mutual love, respect, understanding, subscribing to the same Biblical principles that shape their individual priorities, values, choices, and decisions in life. It is based on temporary convenience, self-serving advantages, thus, purely of outward appearance. Such a relationship will never bear the genuine fruits of the Spirit defined in Galatians 5: 22, 23, as God designed it to be—whether in a marriage relationship or church relationship. Such a life journey is a lonely, even nightmarish walk through a dark jungle. In summary, certainly not limited to the examples cited in these series but by time and space, we highlight the significance of number two in the Bible as stated at the outset, with the following:

Biblical Numerology: NUMBER TWO – Part XXV

DEADLY RESULT OF ATHEISM AND LICENTIOUSNESS COMBINED – Part VI

“And their bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where our Lord was crucified. And they that dwell upon the earth shall rejoice over them, and make merry, and shall send gifts one to another; because these two prophets tormented them that dwelt on the earth.” Rev. 11: 7, 8, 10, K.J.V.

In The Geat Controversy (1911), “The Bible and the French Revolution,” ch. 15, pp. 269-74, Ellen G. White reviews the historical fulfillment of this prophecy:

“According to the words of the prophet [John], then, a little before the year 1798 some power of satanic origin and character would rise to make war upon the Bible. And in the land where the testimony of God’s two witnesses should thus be silenced, there would be manifest the atheism of the Pharaoh and the licentiousness of Sodom.
