SEALING TIME WILL NOT LAST LONGER
“I saw another angel ascending from the east, having the seal of the living God: and he cried with a loud voice to the four angels…saying,hurt not the earth, neither the sea, nor the trees, till we have sealed the servants of our God in their foreheads.” Rev. 7:2,3,KJV.
The sealing, preparation for the latter rain, loud cry, mark of the beast test and the close of probation occurs simultaneously with the pre-advent judgment taking place in the most holy in heaven. Our lives are passing in review right now.
The sealing of character is the work of the Holy Spirit, hence we are warned: “Grieve not the Holy Spirit whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.” Eph. 4:30.
“The sealing time is very short, and will soon be over. Now is the time, when the four angels are holding the four winds, to make our calling and election sure [2 Pet. 1:10].” Early Writings, p. 58.
“Four mighty angels are still holding the four winds of the earth. Terrible destruction is forbidden to come in full…the winds will be the stirring up of the nations into one deadly combat, while the angels hold the four winds, forbidding the terrible power of Satan to be exercised in its fury, until the servants of God are sealed in their foreheads.” Review & Herald, June 7,1887.
“A terrible conflict is before us. We are nearing the battle of the great day of the Almighty. That which has been held in control is to be let loose. The angel of mercy [symbol of Holy Spirit] is folding her wings, preparing to step down from the throne and leave the world to the control of Satan….” RH May 13,1902.
Who will be sealed? Who won’t?
“Those who overcome the world, the flesh, and the devil, will be the favored ones who shall receive the seal of the living God. Those whose hands are not clean, whose hearts are not pure, will not have the seal of the living God. Those who are planning sin, and acting it, will be passed by.
“Only those who, in their attitude before God, are filling the position of those who are repenting and confessing their sins in the great antitypical day of atonement[pre-advent Judgment started in 1844] will be recognized and marked [sealed] as worthy of God’s protection.
“The names of those who are steadfastly looking and waiting and watching for the appearing of their Savior–more earnestly and wishfully than those who wait for the morning—will be numbered among those who are sealed.
“Those who, while having all the light of truth flashing upon their souls, should have works corresponding to their avowed faith, but are allured by sin, setting up idols in their hearts, corrupting their souls before God, and polluting those who unite with them in sin, will have their names blotted out of the book of life, and be left in midnight darkness, having no oil in their vessels with their lamps.” Testimonies to Ministers, p. 445.
