MID-WEEK MESSAGE FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:
IS UNCHANGING GOD OR CHANGING CIRCUMSTANCES CONTROLLING US?
“For He Himself has said, I will never leave you nor forsake you. So we may boldly say: the Lord [of the Sabbath] is my Helper; I will not fear what man [or the Coronavirus] can do to me.” Heb. 13: 5,6. What is the great want in the world today? “The great want in the world is the want of men—men who will not be bought or sold, men who in their inmost souls are true and honest, men who do not fear to call sin by its right name, men whose conscience is true to duty as the needle to the pole, men who will stand for the right though the heavens fall.” Education, 57. “Man can make his circumstances, but circumstances should NEVER make the man.
Men should SEIZE circumstances as his INSTRUMENTS with which to work. He should MASTER circumstances, but should never allow circumstances to master him. Individual independence and individual power are the qualities now needed. Individual character need not be sacrificed, but it should be modulated, refined, elevated.” 3T 495, 496, 497. Think Trust, not Trouble. “Thou shall not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment.” Exo. 23:2. “They that be doers of the Word are building securely, and the tempest and storm of [the coming] persecution will not shake their foundation, because their souls are rooted to the eternal Rock [of the written Word].” UL 315. Be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might! NMF””
