QUOTE FOR THE WEEK FROM YOUR PASTOR’S DESK:
“Casting down imaginations and every high thing that exalts itself against God, bringing into captivity in the obedience to Christ.” 2 Cor. 10: 5.
Before it was an act, whether spoken or written, it was first a thought spawned in the womb of the mind. Words and actions are windows into the mind, providing a sneak peek as it were, into the current character of the person, beginning with ME.
What we see is what we get to see when we look into the mirror of truth just as we crawl out of bed. What mirror? “Examine me, O Lord and prove me; try my mind and heart.” Ps. 26:2. “Examine yourselves whether you are in the faith. Prove yourselves.” 1 Cor. 13:5. “Sanctify (cleanse/purify)them through Thy truth, Thy Word is truth.” John 17:17.
Here”s how to remove the blemishes and unclean was that the mirror of truth reveals: “Therefore, having these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and the spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.” 2 Cor. 7:1.
Only the blood of Christ can cleanse us from all unrighteousness and sin. Pray for grace imparted by the Holy Spirit to empower you to do all things that Christ expects of you for today only. Repeat the same process each new day. See how clean, white and sparkling like the “salt of the earth and light of the world” around you, you can and will be as the new and renewed YOU in Christ! Have a blest week NMF
