Are We Preparing for the Latter Rain?– Part XI : THE SEVEN CONDITIONS FOR RECEIVING THE LATTER RAIN

In his syllabus on this present truth subject, Gordon Collier summarizes the seven major conditions that will be fulfilled among a certain class of Christians–antitypes of the first 120 disciples who received Pentecost—before receiving the sealing Latter Rain that empowers the final loud cry of Revelation 18 “fourth angel.” However, like the nine listed “fruit(s) of the Spirit” (Gal. 5: 22) and the eight rungs of “Peter’s ladder,” defining in simple terms (not legalese, needing lawyering up) the eternal life insurance policy (1 Pet. 1: 4-8), these do not necessarily come in the order they are given in each individual’s pilgrim progress in these last days—yet they are a people.

In fact, in antitypical fulfillment they are the “chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people” that “show forth the praises of Him who called them out of darkness into His marvelous light! 1 Pet. 2: 9, K.J.V. These seven conditions are:

Are We Preparing for the Latter Rain?– Part X: CLEANSING THE SOUL TEMPLE FROM ALL THAT DEFILES

Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves of all filthiness of the flesh and the spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of the Lord.” 2 Corinthians 7: 1, K.J.V.

Cleanse is from the Greek katharizo, “purge,” “purify.” Cleanliness is next to godliness. With order, “heaven’s first law,” both operate in the Bible’s heaven for multitudes cling to non-Biblical ideas, popular fables in fact, of heaven,—who are there right now and will be going there, in what state, and when. But “God is not the author of confusion.” 1 Cor. 14: 33.

God strictly required cleanliness of all priests and people throughout the camp wherever they were, including the tents of the armies. He “who changeth not” and “is the same yesterday, today and forever” (Mal. 3: 6; Heb. 13:8), requires no less of His people today than of ancient Israel—physically, more so, intrinsically, spiritually, for God “looketh upon the heart” while men “looketh on the outward appearance.” 1 Sam. 16: 7.

EDEN’S HEALTH PRINCIPLES ….have they been FORGOTTEN or are they simply IGNORED?

The Health Page: It’s Goal
“Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health” – 3 John 2. This is God’s wish for man — health and happiness. Because of this wish, when the Lord created the heavens and the earth, He provided the needs of man and also established all the principles that would make man happy and healthy in the Garden of Eden.

Today, however, we find so many diseases in people. One will seldom see a person, especially the elderly, who does not complain of one disease condition or another. Why does this condition exist when the Creator established principles in the Garden of Eden for man’s health and happiness?

Eden’s Health Principles… have they been forgotten or are they simply ignored?

“Pure air, sunlight, abstemiousness (temperance), rest, exercise, proper diet, the use of water, trust in divine power — these are the true remedies.” Ministry of Healing, page 127

Are We Preparing for the Latter Rain?– Part XVI

The Counterfeit before the True Revival of Primitive Godliness

See Matthew chapter 23, particularly verses 37, 38. With tears in His eyes and voice, after His woeful pronouncement to His own people who had corporately rejected Him whom all the Old Testament prophets and John the Baptist himself pointed to and baptized as verily the promised Messiah (which final actions resulted in them being cut off as the chosen people at the end of the seventy-week prophecy of Daniel 9: 24-27), Jesus departed from their temple for the very last time, saying, “Verily I say unto you, there shall not be left one stone upon another, that shall not be thrown down.”

They listened in initial disbelief because, like the rest, they also embraced the popular  errors that their religious leaders had long perpetrated:

Are We Preparing for the Latter Rain?– Part XV

TEACH US TO WISELY NUMBER OUR DAYS

Many merely lament that the holidays went by like a blur. Time on the wings of flight seems to be fleeing instead of merely picking up speed. January barely blew in, and is on its way out today, never more to return. There is this sense urgency, but for what?

Psalm 90 is a prayer of Moses the man of God, not of David the man after God’s own heart, as is commonly thought. Moses prayed: “The days of our years are threescore years and ten; and if by reason of strength they be fourscore years, yet is their strength labour and sorrow; for it soon cut off, and we fly away . . . So teach us to number our days, that we may apply our hearts unto wisdom.” Ps. 90: 10, 12, K.J.V.
