The Early Rain Individual Experience Involves Close Daily Self-Examination
Jesus “said to them all. If any man will come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross [of self-denial and self-sacrifice]daily, and follow Me. For whosoever will save his life shall lose it: but whosoever will lose his life for My sake, the same shall save it. For what is a man advantaged, if he gain the whole world, and lose himself, or be cast away?” Luke 9: 23-25, K.J.V.
David prayed: “Search me, O God, and know my heart: Try me, and know my thoughts.” Ps. 139: 23. “Shall not God search this out? For He knoweth the secrets of the heart.” Ps. 44: 21. Paul echoes the psalmist: “But let a man examine himself . . . “1 Cor. 11: 28. “Examine yourselves whether ye be
